Hi all:
Getting older sucks.
I started noticing the high pitched whine in my right ear about 2 years ago. Its getting louder with every year that passes. The left ear is fine. Sometimes the whine is constant and sometimes it spikes and goes back down.
I shoot with impact ear pro that lowers the db rating during the impact. I also double up with external ear pro if I am using foamies.
I mow the lawn with ear pro.
I try to not wear headphones and if I do I keep the volume low.
For the last two years I have been working in and around a noisy environment once a month. It routinely exceeds 100db for extended periods of time. I am currently looking at ear plugs I can wear and still hear commands and instructions. I have found they don't really exist.
Anyway... I am humble and take experience and instruction well.
Let me know if you have found non-electronic, costs less than my mortgage, ear pro that allows you to hear commands and instructions while killing 112db.
