Every Monday from now on I have to go to a school internship...
It consists of going to houses and installing air conditioning and sometimes construction work...

Last year I used to go and it had very loud working tools like jackhammers and drills
Now that I have tinnitus I have 0 motivation go to such a place...

Should I just skip it even if its a class thing or should I go?

Skip it at all cost. You do not want to worsen your T in anyway!

Tell your school and have a doctors note if needed.

Hi @vaseto99. You have a medical reason to opt out of this activity. Discuss this with your professor and see if he or she will give you an alternative assignment.

If your professor cannot or will not offer an alternative, visit the Office for Students with Disabilities at your school. You will probably need to bring some medical documentation with you.

Someone from the Office for Students with Disabilities will determine what accomodations you require and will work with your professor to make sure you have an equal chance of succeeding in the course.

I write this under the assumption that you are attending a school in the USA. If not, hopefully your school will have similar provisions.

This is the type of stuff I would avoid. Even if you wear ear plugs, the anxiety and stress about the noise can be a huge annoyance and possibly even trigger spikes. I wouldn't be at peace knowing, that people are drilling and making such loud noises....
