Somewhere in the forum I read a thread about oxytocin with a link to info very similar to this I am adding here. What surprised me were the way members reacted to this information which was dispatched with nothing but jokes. I see some very interesting qualities in oxytocin. Any input?

Hey, Joe. I ordered this stuff a little over a year ago. It seemed to help my mood a little, but didn't affect my tinnitus either way. Hope that helps
"ordered"? It's a prescription drug, how were you able to order it? The stuff you can buy on Amazon etc is not real oxytocin but homeopathic knock offs. Basically just tap water.
I bought it from Ceretropic. It came in a vial and I had to reconstitute it with bacteriostatic water. I should have mentioned that I used it as a nasal spray.
Hmm, oxytocin on Ceretropic didn't yield any results. Pretty sure it wasn't the real thing though. In the US and the UK, it has to be prescribed.
As far as I know it could be sold as a research chemical as long there weren't any claims made about medical uses. But perhaps things have changed as I now see that Ceretropic no longer carries it (I see that people have been complaining that they haven't had it as far back as November). I am not sure if it was legit Oxytocin or not, but from what people were saying on Reddit, it's supposed to be. Someone mentioned it on this thread too. You could be right though
Guys this is an easy topic to figure out. Oxytocin is giving via IV to most mom's after birth. Just ask someone with T who's delivered a baby whether there T changed with the post delivery IV. Though the pain/epidural may complicate things.

I am a Public Health Nurse and a Lactation Consultant...oxytocin is a naturally occurring hormone that helps lactating women to release breastmilk. I am not sure if breastmilk has oxytocin in it as well...............I will look into it as perhaps breastmilk cures Tinnitus!

I believe the ongoing research that was mentioned in the media regarding Oxytocin (in 2016) and with which this thread is concerned has now been completed and is awaiting publication (it is provisionally accepted). As it happens, it is published as an article which is part of the Frontiers Research Topic:

Show the doctor the Brazilian study this thread is about and he/she will probably prescribe it off label to you. It's not a drug with any dangerous side effects (at least not what I can find) so I can't see why not.
FounderI don't recall reading experiences from oxytocin use here, but yours truly may soon be a test subject (and I will follow up with my experiences if that's the case).

I tried to get some of this while in China but could not find in the pharmacy's there. I would also like to hear people's experiences on this drug as it doesn't seem possible to get in my country.

@Pleasure_Paulie I use it and quite a bit of it. Several years before tinnitus. For my back and legs - serious pain injury. Of all the side effects, with a large dose, I only felt like in a daze, with a light head, sometimes a little faint. With a smaller dose I was fine. I still have some in the closet, but it's expired.

Fenugreek is also used to increase a mother's breastmilk supply....perhaps it also has some effect on oxytocin.

I would never recommend you to use the expired drug, but do you think you're able to get it again and trial? Though if it has a positive effect on T, it may be because of the "daze" you described while on it.
Might be a good idea to check out the Web MD site. Only a small study has been conducted on oxytocin.. it's a hormone and one needs to be real careful when messing with them.

I would say to consult with your doctor first before doing anything on your own.
I know a lot of people on this forum have a negative bias against doctors (especially ENTs).
But these people did not spend almost 10 years in school and residency and fellowship to become a doctor to absolutely no nothing, and be disregarded when taking important decisions regarding your health.

There's a place online, based out of Hong Kong, that makes it in a spray form, but I don't think I'd take a chance such a product from an unknown company. It's also very dangerous stuff to use, without a doctor's supervision, as others have noted here.
