I have fluctuating tinnitus. The tinnitus is always in my head, but only 50% of the days it's annoying. The other 50% of the days it's still there, but so quiet it doesn't really annoy me.

I have come to the conclusion whenever I have a more vivid dream the more likely I have loud tinnitus when I wake up. It's like my brain stays stimulated when I'm dreaming...

My question is is there anything I can take before bed to DE-STIMULATE my brain and to not cause dreams?

I’m not affected like you describe.

      I don’t recommend this, but...
Propofol is an anesthetic drug used to facilitate relaxation or sleepiness.Michael Jackson was reportedly administered propofol infusions by Dr. Conrad Murray—his personal physician—for two months as a sleep-aid, causing him to abstain from rapid eye movement (REM) sleep”

That doctor clearly needed to lose his license but man, I can understand wanting to be on a propofol drip now. Wake me up when there is a cure...

What do you mean by "not here"? There's got to be something to relax the brain before bed.... I should try wine maybe??

Beware some drugs which are supposed to promote sleep can also cause crazy vivid dreams. Amitriptyline is one of those drugs which I have quit for that reason amongst others.
