Tinnitus Since
6 days
Cause of Tinnitus
Clubbing
I have tinnitus for 6 days in my ears after clubbing... I am 22 years old and I really like clubbing and tinnitus for more than 1 day never happened.

I'm really scared now as I have pressure and pain in my ears too.

Now I have to study for my exams here at uni, but I can't focus because of the T.

I'm thinking about the T all the time and about how unlucky am I.

I don't know what to do..

HI @Mark1995

I advise you to keep away from loud sounds and not to listen to music through headphones even at low volume. The tinnitus is likely to calm down and will hopefully go. Click on the links below and read my articles on tinnitus and hyperacusis. Take your time and read them in full and don't skim through them.

All the best and hope things improve for you soon.

1. Relax and pay as little attention to it as possible. Stress creates an emotional attachment to it, which exacerbates the problem.

2. Go get some N-Acetyl Cysteine. 600mg daily for a while.

3. Acute noise induced tinnitus in younger people typically will go away on its own. Don't waste any time in your life focusing on it. Don't mind it, and one day you may notice it's completely gone.

Thanks for the comments. An important thing to add is that I have pretty severe acid reflux and since I hear the T it is completely gone.. maybe because all i'm doing is focusing on the T. I was listening music throught my headphones but for not more than 30 mins during the 6 days, but now i'm completely gonna stop it.

Hi everyone,

I would like to give you and update, my tinnitus never went away, but got a LOT better, and there are weeks that I do not even notice it, also there are weeks when it is still quite loud.

So, eventually it is pretty clear to say that I got noise-induced tinnitus back then...

That sounds not too bad Mark. Sounds like you have habituated quite well and that you get occasional spikes which then subside. It wont interfere with your life plans etc.

Just be careful with noise in future and I think you should be ok.
