      Hello everyone,

I have had tinnitus in the left ear since October 2010. Very annoying to say the least. How I got it is unknown. I have been in the military,(infantry, artillery, and transportation). But been out for 25 Years prior to getting it. However, started to fly helicopter in January 2010. Maybe that is what caused it who knows.

Good news! About a month ago I got really irritated and went to see a ear, throats, nose specialist and again they said there is nothing they could do. No wax in ears at all. So I decided to go to the pharmacy and get some over the counter mucinex. Started to take the pills, placed warm towels behind left ear, cleared my Eustachian tube daily and believe or not started to do head stands. I suddenly started to notice a difference in the ringing. It actually decreased significantly.

Before ringing would be continuous day and night.

Now it's only when I wake up and as soon as i start to walk around it disappears. Maybe the hair cells in semicircular canal are damaged or bent who knows. But doing head stand, clearing Eustachian tube, placing warm towels behind affected ear, taking a shower, and letting warm water run behind affected ear, Andy taking mucinex for two weeks might have done it. So I hope this will help some one out there.
