Tinnitus can cause a lot of discomfort in life - it's no secret.

Not only is a person with tinnitus deprived of the natural and necessary right to stay in silence and relax, being forced to constantly listen to these obscure sounds in the head.
The problem is also this - tinnitus prevents me from having sex.

I can not concentrate completely on harmony with a woman, I hear this clang even in these moments. It's horrible.

Lord, for which we are deprived of elementary human joys ...

Dear God, sorry to hear that. What about booze? Does that help?
This all just pisses me off that they are dragging their asses. They showed years ago that they could restore hearing in rodents.

You know, it seems to me all this talk about the fact that "we have regenerated the cochlear hair cells in mice" - just self-advertisement and money lure.

Information, that the mice have regained hearing with the help of regenerative medicine, I see from 2011. It's been 7 years now, but this information has not moved beyond this information. This makes me pessimistic about this direction. We need real attention of the authorities and patrons of art, real financing. It is not. Ludicrous money is allocated.

Moreover, I repeat that people suffering from some hearing loss and tinnitus did not compensate their losses with the aid of a hearing aid for a long time, then the process of atrophy of the auditory nerve (the VIIIth pair of cranial nerve) begins (the withering of the corresponding twigs). And even if we theoretically reconstruct the cochlear cells of the cochlea, then the sounds will not be adequately conducted along the nerve into the auditory cortex of the brain, they will not be adequately perceived and processed by the brain.

Is there evidence the nerves atrophy?

Is there evidence the nerves atrophy?
Of course. They are easy to obtain. This is the experience of living people in the first place.

Many people who did not compensate for their hearing loss for a long time with their computers and lived with hearing loss for years, after starting the use of a digital applet with individual tuning, did not perceive adequately amplified frequencies, or were unnatural.

Moreover, cochlear implantation is not indicated in cases where the patient has lived for years with severe hearing impairment, without adequate compensation by aparat. Simply, this is ineffective in such cases, due to the atrophy of the nerve

Making love in the shower might help...seriously though have a little romantic music on in the background as it could help.
