Trobalt gave me a reduction of 80 % but honestly I am afraid of its side effects. I wish I had another alternative treatment

if you give me the choice between 31% of reduction with medical equipment or 80 % with drug

I will choose the first

I would choose the drug because 30 procent still gives me shitty T .. . thats why i try Trobalt to see what it does .. but I have never ever taken an anti depressant in my life to alleviate the depression that T gives ... i`m here to strike the root cause, not the leaves that go left and right in the wind ... my drug against depression is friends, music, singing, dancing, reading spirituality, Yoga, drawing and specially saying thank you for everything in my life, even T ...

but I hope something will be of true value for us soon ... seems like 2016 will be a year of conclusions and the start of waiting for one of them to get in to the market place ...

ps. do your final experience report because I still don`t get your whole picture ... I`m at 700 a day and my T is still going ... I suspect it will only get truly lower at 1200 ... so it must be mine is just too bloody loud or somehting ... I don`t know.

Am off of trobalt and my tinnitus still lower I am a 3/10 now. Is it a cure? No I don’t think


@nills Try 1200 for a day then if it will not work back to 700.

 

There isn't a cure maybe a treatment in the future, but a cure is very difficult! but 80% of reduction is like a cure...I have mild tinnitus but with this reduction i think my tinnitus will go away...

 

i think it is good to taper up and down a bit .. I will arrive at the sweet spot soon, i`m not in a hurry.

A way to do it to thrrough depression .. but I don`t understand why it can`t be for tinnitus cause when you get string tinnitus you most likely are depressed .. anyway fake strong depression ... watch documentaries look at those peole say what they said do what they do ... go see shrink act the same ... buy the pills .. throw them away... fake side effects .. and say you dont like them and they create suicide thoughts and say you heard of TMS ... you`ll be sooner doing than waiting on those money devils ...

TMS is an effective treatment for depression, tinnitus (pure tone and monolateral), and some others disorders. I had tryied it some years ago and the most effective is the rTMS (random repetitive). The first attempts are from external. If the results are over 6/10 you can be implanted with subdural stimulation. The benefical effect on tinnitus is related to the amelioration of the stress/depression/anxiety factors who are responsive to repetitive TMS.

I haven't found information yet on expectations for commercial availability of TMS for T. Not sure how/why they would leave that information out of all of these articles as it is the next logical question from any sufferers reading the information.

 

That is right, very important thing is to find out where are those hiperactive parts of the brain, and that can be done only by Loreta/qEEG. This video is very scientific, who wants he can watch

For those who can not watch whole hour, get focused on last 7 minutes, conclusions about how Loreta/qEEG targets parts of the brain where T is present. That parts are those that should be treated by many treatments we know TMS, HIFU etc...

i really hope in autifony... i will do this check up in Zurich and maybe try rTMS in Belgium, to get written all how do they do it...

I got from my psychiatrist paper that he give authority to my GP to give me any drugs i deem that i need, so interesting..

 

i hope autifony works too Christian!!! I find myself crying out of the blue because im afraid that it wont. must be depression but cant take any A D because of tinnitus... guess we will all know in 2016....prayers for all of us!!!!

 

Erik, what would be your hope if you have severe T?
I doubt that habituation will kick in for the loud dog whistle resonating in my head.
Of course one would say this does not help me if I do not believe in habituation.
But sometimes, especially on my catastrophic days, I can only pray for a cure.

 

Hope is not a bad thing but people need to be prepared if Autifony doesn't pass trials, which is more than likely.

Well the vast majority of clinical trials fail and do not end up as products on the market. As far as I'm concerned Autifony isn't better or worse than anyone else.

Nevertheless it seems that Retigabine has an effect on T.
So AUT00063 and SF0034 seem to be on the right path.
But of course T is very complex. And another question is how bad side effects are of any drug.
No one would really take a drug solving one issue but giving you 5 other.
But for really severe cases we need relief.
Question is if it makes sense waiting for Autifony or trying Trobalt to decrease the volume a little bit.
Really difficult.

 

Well only you can answer this question really. Retigabine is available now while it is uncertain AUT00063 will ever be. If it shows efficacy it's still going to be a few years still for us to be able to get our hands on it.
