  • I've stayed in for 4/5 years, has mentally and psychologically abused me to the extent I developed depression, anxiety, OCD etc. (2/2)

@Uklawyer thankfully I switched schools this year so the one I'm in is like heaven to me. Ofc it's hell to those who have already been attending before but I couldn't have asked for any better than this :) thank you for your concern
School is slowly taking my sanity away, they say enjoy Highschool but I've been in a private one since year 7. My first one, which (1/2)
    I think I must've caught a cold, but I don't have a runny nose… I don't know what's wrong but I know I'm VERY sick. I can't really move :(

    @silentnight thank you ^__^ eheheh
Headache, think I got sick …
Got told 2 go back 2 my country by the lunch lady. Didn't bother me until my parents almost threw me out the window for not replying sobsob
People think they can bother me at this time of day and age, sorry to burst your bubble but tinnitus does it worse :handshake:
I have an eng sac tomorrow .. I'm going to the doctors 4 a blood test instead ^^;; I can redo the sac as long as I have a medical paper ~
Habituated. I still hear it a lot at night but I don't have troubles with sleeping, I really hope I don't jinx it though (´-`)(2/2)
Hihi! It's been a while since I came on here. Quick update ;; T still is louder on the left than the right but I've think I've partly (1/2)
I don't know what else can happen to me. I already developed finger twitching / tremors. I'm only 16
    lanterns&coffee
no, they aren't due to high anxiety
my hands turn red and numb and the doctor says it's anxiety, but it just happens without a reason really.
my parents say they're normal because they aren't severe, it's mostly finger twitches but in certain positions
Such a bad spike :( I measured my brothers scream and it's about 100 decibels. I have to suffer through that every single day 100 times.

i know how you feel, my house is also kind of loud too. everytime i hear a loud noise my ears get full and the ear drum inside spasms a bit.
    lanterns&coffee
@Safari1999 aw man. At least we relate, not the best situation to relate to but yanno
Hi :D update, I've kinda habituated. I cant really hear it in the day, but I do hear it before I go to sleep. Hopefully it'll die down more.
oh yea, I got ear plugs the other day. it doesn't seem I'll need them anytime soon since I'm always at home, but I always carry them with me
Hi guys! School term ends in 2 days. I'll be a senior next term!! I don't know how to feel .. life goes by really quick
    BrOKeN_1
Before you know it you'll be old like alot of us ;). I was a senior in 1997 lol
    lanterns&coffee
@BrOKeN_1 time goes by so fast .. I wonder how I'll be like when I'm 30, is life that hard after uni? yoink ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
    BrOKeN_1
Lol. Life is an adventure. Even with tinnitus. Which hopefully won't be an issue for you long before your 30.
Hey :D update on everything! I've been noticing my T less and less, thank god,,, school term about to end!! I'm gonna be a senior next year!
Got earwax removed like .. 1? 2 months ago? But then it stopped. It's like when I shake my head, the new tone rings. How do I stop this :(?
But when I stay in one place I can't really hear it. It's driving me insane and I wonder what that is. Last time I heard it was when I (2/3)
Hey guys, I've got a question.. today I realised I had something new going on. When I move, I have this bell-like ringing in my ear (1/3)
Hey guys :) studying for a studio arts sac right now. Update on everything, I think it's slowly reducing to baseline, not too sure though.
I'm not liking this spike :( I'm scared, what if it's permanent? What if it becomes severe & I won't ever be able to habituate? I'm scared.
    Foamearplugssuck
don't think like that. you will habituate if it goes on long enough--trust me. there's nothing permanent about tinnitus either, so chances are that it will fade or die down over time.
    Jsm_Joestar
spikes are really scary and the fear of having it permanently worsen is understandable. unfortunatly this condition can be very unpredictable and it makes it hard to habituate. The best you can do is focus on what you can control and how you can manage it. there are some spikes that clear up after a couple days or weeks so this might be the case. i hope it goes down again lantern. best of luck

    @Steph1710 @Lurius @Foamearplugssuck @Jsm_Joestar
Thank you all for your kind words. It really is terrifying to think about if this spike is permanent or not, and very stressing. I've been trying to relax lately but my schoolwork has been left undone for weeks on end now. I just can't find the courage or motivation to work. I'll try my best though.
What happened to the very quiet and low T a few days ago I was having a good time
    kingsfan
You are probably having a temporary spike from your siblings yelling. Just try and stay calm and know that it is temporary. They can last days, hours, or weeks. Try to stay away from loud sounds for a while in order to allow the spike to subside. Have you gotten earplugs yet?
    lanterns&coffee
I hope it subsides quickly.. and no I didn't have the chance to unfortunately:( maybe soon
I have really horrible anxiety, but that keeps you from getting better. I've been trying gentle vagal exercises to calm down my nervous system. Keep strong. I honestly think you'll get better.
    lanterns&coffee
@dolphinskin thank you for that, I should try exercising too sometime, I heard it's really good. I also have bad anxiety and it makes it hard to heal
