Mine did that too, after removing earwax. When earwax builds up again, it stops doing that. That's my experience

Same, feels like I'm deaf before fleeting tinnitus. Interesting thing that my low hum does not go quiet during a fleeting tinnitus attack, that's partly why I think it must have a different cause than the regular tinnitus sounds.

I had that too during the first year. It stopped happening after a while. I hope it doesn't mean I'm fucked forever.

@Kriszti interesting... I go silent but don't appreciate it cause it startles me because I'm so used hearing my hum. It's just weird all around

Kind of aggravating that our brains can mute if they wanted to
