    If you have pains use turmeric as it's great for pain relief. I recommend using NAC or getting trobalt asap as it may help stabilise your condition before it gets worse. Yours may not be permanent, but I'm afraid nobody can say for sure. Good luck.

    ibuprofen + codeine is on the T cause list, so I wouldn't bet on it to improve T if it in fact can create T. I did quite some amounts of ibuprofen + codeine in the months prior to my T. I can only speculate to what extent it contributed, but it's always on the list of potential T creators.

    Stick to Paracetamol, 1000mg a time, for more "regular use" with pain. Avoid NSAIDs and ibuprofen. IMO. Especially NSAIDs, such as Voltaren, have a history of potentially triggering tinnitus.

    Welcome to the forums. Yeah ibuprofen can be ototoxic, but it's actually pretty rare. How long were you taking it? It usually would have to be over a fair amount of time to damage the ears with ibuprofen. But it isn't unheard of.

    ...reply. I did not rupture my eardrum as I had my ears checked a bunch of times after and the Doctors all said my ears looked perfect. But I also do believe Ibuprofen is a culprit. I also had to take some when I got my wisdom teeth pulled not knowing there were ototoxic affects until recently.
