Do we know how Lenire did theirs? Because it's a non invasive device that interfaces with the user in a similar way (even though Lenire seems to suck). Maybe they'll use Lenire as an outline on how to get approval.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Lenire is fancy TRT in my opinion. My THI is out of scale (72, maybe 6 after habituation in 2004). Note the descending graph immediately at the start. You habituate. 12 points on THI isn't a big deal. Maybe try Lenire on subjects with 10 years of chronic tinnitus. That is probably another...

I bought Lenire for $3800, hoping that it would relieve my tinnitus. I followed my doctor's advice and used it twice a day for 30 minutes. After four months, I had to stop because it made my tinnitus twice as bad as when I started. Lenire never says in its information that your tinnitus can get...

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Lenire is not based on University of Minnesota's trials. Lenire used to be called MuteButton and it came to be long before Hubert Lim started his University of Minnesota work with his device (that never came to fruition because he sold his soul to Lenire).

Although you only have to read through the hundreds of success stories on here to see that hyperacusis symptoms typically reduce or disappear around the 12-24 month stage - usually without using Lenire. Potentially placebo.

This might be a scam. Is this guy a paid actor for Lenire? He said, "tinnitus is zero. I hear nothing." It looks like different new organizations and even the Neuromod X account were linked to this guy's story. Looks suspicious.

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

Dr. Shore’s was a double blind, placebo controlled study - the gold standard. Neuromod’s Lenire was not. Dr. Shore had NIH funding and a diverse study group. As Lenire was approved, there is no reason not to approve Auricle - a clearly superior device to Lenire and a superior study to Lenire.

Considering standard inflation and the fact that the Auricle device claims to be an improvement over Lenire's product, I think it will be closer to the $4-5k range. I doubt insurance will touch it. The bigger question is if they plan on having some return or buyback policy for those. It...

Lenire doesn't work. Period. If Dr. Shore's device is slightly better than Lenire, then it means it won't help the majority of people significantly. I'm sorry but I really don't get how we have gone from a 75% loudness reduction to just "slightly better than Lenire".

I'm not surprised there haven't been any responses to this. He said trip reports are incoming in a few months, he supposes. It hasn't been that long, yet. Very risky chance unless you don't mind throwing away $5000 for something that's highly unlikely to lower tinnitus and could make it worse.
