It's great to hear that NYC's mayor-elect, Mamdani, has informed President Trump that his administration will back ICE in apprehending and deporting violent undocumented immigrants. Ensuring a city is safe is extremely important, and it appears that Mamdani understands this. I am looking forward to his inauguration on Jan. 1, 2025, and the beginning of a more secure NYC.

Government efficiency is important and should always be a major priority.

In response to 9/11, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was created in 2003 pursuant to the Homeland Security Act of 2002. I fully support ending ICE, if and when it is no longer necessary. Today, though, it is badly needed.
