Hi all. I'm Marcini and I'm new here though certainly not new to the wonderful world of tinnitus. In my case it was caused by noise exposure; too many rock concerts and night clubs. After being hit with the tinnitus I took it upon myself to do a bit of research and educate myself and went out and got myself some custom fitted 26dB attenuating earplugs. Sadly the damage was already done and despite the earplugs a few more years of loud venues would cause an onset of mild hyperacusis. Now I've knocked that life on the head and thankfully the T has gotten no worse (except for the usual joys of the spike) and the H is much improved on the pain front with only the "reactive T" element of the H now bothersome. Anyway that's the brief version of my story.
I'm a long term reader on this great site but first time poster. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute to some conversations.
