Hi

I have been diagnosed with cholesteatoma in both ears 8 wks ago i had my first operation on my right ear.
Ive always had tinnitus since i was quite young so i have grown up with it but since having the surgery i have been having bouts of tinnitus that seem to make my head vibrate and when i speak it sounds distorted and when people talk to me it sounds distorted.

has anyone experienced this?

Hello Penny,

I really feel for you, please stay strong. I imagine you had your opearation very recently. Middle ear is very delicate so perhaps give it some more time to heal up? From my own experience I can tell you that tympanotomy (puncturing the eardrum) can take weeks to heal up too. Best of luck to you
