I do not blow my nose very forcefully. I usually don’t even block off one nostril. I leave both open and blow gently. When I have to blow harder I notice I get pain the ear.

Do others with hyperacusis, TTTS or other ear pain have the same issue?

Today I blew my nose quite hard (I was crying and certainly not thinking clear) and I felt slight, but pitching pain in my right ear. Also if felt like (sorry TMI) that mucus got into the ear. I don't feel dizzy, the pain has alleviated. I Valsalva'd my ear after without pain. Doing the Valsalva clogged my ears, but after yawning and swallowing, it's better. Do you think that this warrants a visit to a doctor to check out the state of the eardrum?
