Cause of Tinnitus
Noise induced?
I hope everyone is doing well, had a great week and will have an even better weekend :)

I guess I kinda wanted to introduce myself and my tinnitus, meet some people, and gain some hope that maybe(?) this will go away one day. I've been experiencing tinnitus for 12 days. It is the kind with the constant high pitch ringing. It may be noise induced, because it happened while I was working out and listening to loud music with headphones on. I did go to an ENT, but I left there feeling even more helpless. I've been looking up information and help online and found this forum.. So, that's my story :p I don't know, I don't feel like I'm good at this stuff lol Not only do I have trouble talking to people in person, but I do so online as well :sorry: lol

Thanks for listening

Or reading.. you know what I mean :dunno:

Welcome to the forum. Lots of good people here, that want to help out.
You still can live a good life, even with tinnitus.

Welcome to the forum! You are very early on in this process so "chin up".

If you saw an ENT already it makes sense to see an audiologist. Also with sound induced T there are theories that the earlier you take a steroid (predinsone ) the better. Just something to think about.

Thank you for the warm welcome :)

@fishbone Are you really shitfaced? lol I can agree with you! I've been reading more on the forums, and everyone does seem really nice :)

@dayma I think I did see an audiologist. I did a hearing test on the same day. She said I had no ear wax and no holes in my ear drums. I guess I did okay with my hearing test too because the doctor said I was normal. He didn't mention anything about prescriptions though. Just said that there is nothing that can be done about it, and to not take anything for it because it doesn't really work..though I believe he probably meant over the counter stuff. I felt really rushed when he spoke with me, so I forgot everything I wanted to say and ask. So now I'm making a list of things I want to ask and will add that to my list! Thank you :)

Welcome to the forum. Your tinnitus being so new and is probably noise induced, perhaps get your doctor to prescribe a course of prednisone to see if it helps. That is generally recommended by members here.
