Hi Jennifer, Welcome. I’m kind of a new member myself. Some nice supportive people in here with similar issues. I think they will welcome you too.

I for one, suffer the Pulsing-T too. Its hell, mine is worse in the morning. Right now, I’m hoping for good times where I can tune it out. I take medicine now to help me sleep. Not sleeping is not a way to live.

      Hi, Jennifer and James,
I agree, the pulsating is certainly no fun to live with, and I have been trying to find ways to cope for the past 3 years. However, don't give up! The thing to do is to keep searching for answers. Some people have been cured of this condition; it's just that many doctors are dismissive of us because they don't know, or don't have the time, to treat us or figure out what is going on. Have you checked out Whooshers.com? It is a support community for those of us with PT, and has many stories of "cured whooshers"!

There are specialized doctors out there who have taken the time to help PT sufferers. These doctors may be otolaryngologists or neurotologists, and are often at teaching hospitals, such as Johns Hopkins or places like that. It's worth at least having tests to rule out any serious conditions that might be causing your PT. The head "whoosher" on Whooshers.com suggests getting copies of your tests (MRI, CT scan, etc.) and circulating them to one or two of these specialists to see if they can help you.

There is also the possibility that your pulsating tinnitus will subside over time. That has happened to some people. Who knows, it might happen to you!

      PT here too!

I don't have a separate pulse... the tinnitus pulses.

All my tests are clear and my hearing is fine. I suspect I got mine from stress and BP meds that I quit!

      Do you take meds?

I've had PT for the last 3 years in my left ear. It was random times but def. worse morning after i drank a couple beers. Early last year i heard about drinking Apple Cider Vinegar and since drinking that daily it went almost completely away. Then i did my research and decided to try to strengthen my heart and arteries in hopes to completely take care of my TP. So i now drink a shot of orange juice with ACV and a tsp of cayenne pepper and i can happily say it has gone away 99% of the time!! I think i'm going to start putting cod liver oil in there also. Haven't figured out how to cure my ringing tinnitus but at least i'm not having to deal with both. Good luck

I did the Braggs ACV for some months. It didn't do much for my T - I don't think anyway.

It's good to here of your success though!

The cayenne is what really made a difference. It's supposed to strengthen the heart and arteries and i think PT is due to a weakness in those areas. Hopefully it'll keep my heart strong and prevent problems in the future at least. Good luck Calin. I hope you find relief.
