Does having fluids in ears from ear infections cause noises in ears?

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Loud noise
      Hi everyone
I have had timnitus since 1981. Got it from being exposed to loud noises. Regretted it ever since. Its gotten worse with age. Need outside noise to sleep, like fan, tv, music. O would love to sleep in silence if only for one night...lol. Anyway, i have a question and could sure use some reassurance. I have an ear infection and I feel pressure, fulness in left ear. I can hear whooshing sounds and a slight hum. Is this a result of fluids in my ears because of ear infection?

      Thanks
      Jonathan
