      I'm feeling the tinnitus is too loud. Bilateral but more in left ear. I still have the fullness and pain.

      An acoustic shock trauma can do a lot of damage... I don't know what to do...

      @1000,
      Try a basic painkiller for ear and head pressure pain and try relax as much as you can and give your ears a rest from loud sounds .
      Hopefully over the weekend you will be feeling a little better.
      love glynis

      I know. I'm sad too. I'm really lonely already. Feeling significantly worse as I am, I wonder if I will soon have no one.

      You could possibly try to go see that your ears are ok (ENT). Just to rule out no fluids are building up and no infections are there.

      You could possibly go see an audiologist and have your hearing checked. Possibly maybe get a hearing aid that has soothing masking sounds. My tinnitus is always horrible and loud and crude. I handle this venom 90% of the time. AT times I will make use of my hearing aids that have built in ocean noises.

      You could possibly go and see a therapist and talk about your issues. If they do not have tinnitus, play them a tinnitus video and what it's all about. Educate them on what you are going through.

      You could possibly start exercising and just being more active. I face a bit of depression daily. I force myself to go to the gym because I know how I will feel if i do not do it. When in the gym I am at my strongest(mentally and emotionally).

      You could possibly use sound enrichment.

      I have made use of all of these and it has carried me over 30 years. My life is beyond brutal (alone w/ no support or family, in pain 24-7 EVERYWHERE/fibro, sick animals, depression). Use all advantages, that you have in life to move ahead. My biggest advantage is that I am stubborn and do not know what it means to give up......

      If the head pain is very bad I take paracetamol, which I believe is the safest pain killer if we have Tinnitus.
      But @Greg Sacramento is an expert on pain meds.

      A lot of ADs have that the first few days but that improves.
      In my experience that nausea is quite common but improves with time.

      Nortriptyline, and Mirtazapine is considered pretty safe. Zoloft is very popular too. I’ve tried Valdoxan as well with limited benefits but it’s safe and has low side effects.

      I would work with your doctor

      The first three months your body is in shock and can't believe this is real. We have all been there and saddens us all. You are now going to work on yourself by taking a step back and realize your ear and brain need to adjust and stay away from loud stuff. It's a battle but you can get to the right place.

      Don't be sad! We all know how bad loud T can be! Mine is so loud I can't mask it at all. Got a bad spike on Sunday. But I'm not giving up. It will get better.

      It will fade, just try not to pay too much attention to it! Protect you ears, eat healthy foods, get alot of rest.

      This is one of the main complaints with this condition...human brain is simply unable to process the fact, that something this bad and horrid is even possible...

      This is why most of the severe T sufferers report, that they feel like they are living in some kind of alternate reality (or inside a nightmare), while unable to wake up from it.

      We all grew up watching action movies where people get tortured, so in theory we should be somewhat desensitised, but this is a whole new level of evil.
      This makes the scene where Rambo is tortured by the Viet-Cong seem like a day at the spa of sorts (in comparison).

      I truly feel for anyone who is battling this satanic POS...
      The amount of hate I feel for it cannot be described by words.
      If Tinnitus appeared in physical form, I would stab it about 1000 times and then rip it into pieces with my bare hands.

      I feel your pain.

      I'm hitting my 3 year "anniversary" and was doing much better early on for some reason.

      I don't let it scare me anymore but 'Mr T' is still very annoying nonetheless.

      Do you eat healthy and/or exercise at all? -- Both are a pain but I do find that it helps a lot.

      Always remember that you are not alone in this..

      @1000 I also have pretty much constant pain unless I'm in complete or near silence. At least the fan on low doesn't bother me. But talking to my SO, listening to him crack open pistachio shells, a dog with a quiet bark, the coffee maker all put me in pain.

      @Red

      So I'm not the only one who gets pain from coffee makers.. :(

      I used to love coffee. Gotta wear ear plugs even when making coffee, taking a shower, etc...
