Hello people. Im 40 years old, with T for the last 2 years. (from may 2013)

I vaporize MJ every day for the last 3 years. (except when i´m travelling in hollidays)
Never MJ help me to reduce the sensation. I vape some stains like Double Dutch, Sugar Loaf, Biddy Early, Kali Mist, Amnesia Haze, White Russian, Super Skunk, Think Different, White Russian)

This month I have a new MJ called SATORI, and this one surprisingly reduce the hum !!!! To be graphic, reduced from "10" to 2 !!!!!!

I only vaporize in the afternoon/night at home or in my free days.

It`s a Sativa-Indica with hi level of THC. Used for medical porposes.

""Satori can benefit with its anti-anxiety & anti-depressive effect. It has up to 1% CBG which is beneficial for treating glaucoma, as a sleep aid, and for anti-microbial use. This strain can be applied for a variety of other medical uses as well due to its exceptional quality. THC: 21-28%, CBD: 0,2%, CBG: 1,0%""

Now I found a relief on the SATORI, so I´m looking for other high CBD strains.

      Regards

PD: I can live with my T, it´s really loud, but not affect my "brain" or humor.

Holy, 28% is too much for me. East coast sour diesel was 23% and wasn't a very nice high. You should try a very high CBD strain with either very little THC or none at all.

      Hello ECIP.

Vaporizing at 180ºC just 2 hits it´s enough to be fine for me (I use PAX, Araizer Solo & Arizer extreme Q).

I always wanna be connected (and isn´t the same effect for smokers, much more agressive).

10 days ago, I hit "more" than enough a Sugar Loaf (15% thc) less THC than the Satori, and my T goes louder.

"SATORI is Recommended for experienced smokers and if you have a high THC tolerance. Persons not used to highly psychoactive sativas should be cautious with the dosage.""

And this is not a rule, maybe for some people help, others don´t.

      Regards

I usually vaporize at 210° with my volcano. Maybe I should try it lower.

Yes @EPIC. For me, typical heat ranges are between 150ºC – when the aromatic parts of the plant begin to vaporise – to 180ºC – at which point both the active THC and CBD components of the plant will have turned into a vapour. Over 200ºC vaporizer smell smoke for me.

i use just very tiny doses, such as 0.12g and i put in about 0.1g of lavender as well. i get a tiny spike but it helps me get a good sleep, and the next day the tinnitus is very manageable. i think the spike is a good thing, it forces the brain to get used to a louder sound, at the same time the cannabis, calms it down so it doesn't worry, and my theory is that this is a form of training for the brain. i also avoid any noise, period. forget about going to a bar, or even going into a supermarket with overhead music and paging, also outside noises such as harley and truck with bad muffler etc, i wear a Bose qc15 almost all the time. everyone here says do everything normally, but that doesn't work for me. i just accept it, that i have a disease that severely limits what i can do, but i just find quiet activities that i enjoy, such as gardening, and i'm able to do my work, so i'm happy with that.
oh, and yes, i start with the Vape at 170, and move it gradually to 175, then 180, then 185, and i throw in a bit of calea leaf as well, what the hell, it's all natural. calea and lavender for sure don't spike your tinnitus, and they may fool the brain into not creating a spike. for cannabis, i use 22% THC called Pink Kush, it has 0.2%CBD, and i mix it half and half with cannabis that i have ground up and heated slightly, to convert THC to CBN - so i'm using 50:50 CBN and THC, and whatever lavender flowers and calea leaf has in it.

I recently purchased some medical marijuana that has been very effective in reducing my T.

It is 15% THC and 5% CBD.

      I use a vaporizer.

      It works for me!

      Love to hear that =)

I will grow some M soon, I have some THC/CBD 1/1 ratio strains (7%/7%), hope they work for me. High THC/Low CBD strains not works for my T. I will post results.

@Jock can you give some details about the % of your reduction? Do you think it reduced the perception of your T or the real volumen/intensity? Ty!

Beating a dead horse but it made my tinnitus much louder, or at least I was more aware of it. Probably a combination of the two. It also gave me extreme anxiety and I started wondering if something else was wrong with me. Haven't smoked in 2 months and I was doing it 3 times a day.

There was one instance when I first got sick and had T, where I was on antivert (anti-vertigo medicine since I was wrongly diagnosed with labyrinthitis) tylenol, and I was dehydrated/hadn't eaten in 7 hours. I got way too high and eventually my vision tunneled, went completely black, my whole body was vibrating and I collapsed. As soon as I hit the ground my vision came back. The ringing got so loud during that episode, and that essentially deterred me from smoking again bar 2 other times of very minimal sessions.

I'm not sure but I know it was very dank weed. It looked like the kind that isn't totally natural, if you know what I mean. It wasn't laced with anything because it didn't affect any of my friends but I think the fact that it was very strong, plus all of the other factors I mentioned, really stirred up the pot. Not to mention the whole experience caused sever anxiety as I started to become feint.

I've been vaporizing regularly again, and it hasn't spiked my T as it used to early on, at onset. I can't explain it or find a pattern.

I smoked weed regulary before i started having T. Now it makes me even more anxious and having panic atacks because I think there are sounds that are not there, like an alarm thats coming from the middle of my head.
I always got so relaxed from weed in my head but because my head is not relaxed anymore because of the T, i can not smoke weed anymore :(

Just smoked one to check how it affects on my T. No real effect, just a little more attention to all my senses, including my T, but my happiness was bigger than the annoyance because of the increase of atention to it. Morevover when it is masked my some sound in my house I feel high and without T (just because I dont hear it and my senses are on some other thing lke playing PC or see TV).

It was medium THC/ Low CBD strains. I will try a new one with 5-7%THC and 13-16% CBD. I Will update results.

it is quite normal for when you take cannabis, it will have the effect like there is an alarm clock going off right inside the middle of your head. naturally, this will make you super anxious, because you think you must have done something very stupid, and you are permanently wrecked. however, i find that is never the case, and with time over the period of months, the alarm clock effect, gets less and less. what i find, with me, is that i used to be able to take a small dose of edible, and that would get me to sleep. then, it stopped working, and so i need to vape some, like 0.15 or 0.2g of medium strength cannabis ( i use shake, because it is cheap, and works just as well as expensive bud, supposed strong insomnia strains, don't work as well for me, probably because the shake has all kinds of terpenes and things besides the thc). vape of 0.15g cannabis, which is a tiny dose, still works for me, to get me to sleep. it does create a small spike in tinnitus, but i don't worry about it, because it always happens, i always get to sleep, and i always wake up fine. so... i am really not sure whether to recommend it or not. basically, i use it to get me to sleep, because not much else will, and the people i work with say i look really good in the morning, well rested, etc. if i try something else like clonazapam, then i am pretty hung over the next day, so i would say it is much preferable to clonazepam. however ... i would like to get off of everything, but i find that to be impossible at the moment. maybe one day, that will happen (like when i'm dead and 6 feet under, at the moment i can never see getting off my meds). my lesson, is to make sure you keep the dose SMALL! sometimes, i accidently take a bit too much, and the anxiety and panic, is ridiculous, sometimes i am sure i am going to die (but i never do, i am always amazed when i wake up the next day, and everything is good). my advice: use only with caution, be prepared to get tinnitus spike, which, like i said above, used to freak me out, but does not do that any more. i use it, to help me cope, with what i consider an incurable and potentially fatal disorder. I know everyone else will disagree, and people will say there are good treatments, but so far the treatment such as trt white noise, pink noise, music, etc has only helped me cope to some extent, and i can't get by without drugs. and as far as being potentially fatal, i have been really close to that point, many times, in the past. lately, not so much.

      Tinnitus Since:
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      smoking buds
I am a 52 year old male and have smoked bud since I was 13 or 14 years old. I smoked it regularly until I was about 25 when I began growing it from seeds purchased in Holland (hey, good genetics were hard to come by back then). For the next ten years I smoked it heavily. Real heavily. At 35 I had a daughter and cut it out over the course of a few years until I only smoked a hit or two now and then; perhaps a couple times a week. On camping trips and day long kayaking adventures (25-30 miles) I smoked quite a bit but this was only a few times a year.

About 5 years ago I woke up in the morning and asked my wife what the hell was outside of our house. It sounded kind of like a diesel truck idling just outside our bedroom window. She swore that it was as quiet as ever and there was nothing to be heard except for the birds chirping. I went outside to figure out what the hell it was and I think both of us thought the other was crazy. Outside I couldn't pinpoint the source, it seemed to come from everywhere.

This went on for about a week. Over time I noticed I would hear the [non-existent] noise a day or two following a hit or two. It would last for 5 or so days and then go away. It was loud in the morning and diminished as the day wore on but still present by night only to be full bore on the next morning. As I put two and two together I began to keep track. Today, some 5 or so years later, I can say without a shadow of doubt that a couple small hits of really good bud is enough to cause serious noise / ringing in my ears for about 5 days straight. I've looked it up on line and have found others reporting the same phenomena; some even reporting it becoming permanent. For me, it was a minor inconvenience and I rolled with it (pun intended).

So this brings me to today. As I type this I fear I may loose all or part of my hearing in my right ear. I had a little bud on Saturday, just a couple hits as I've become a lightweight in my older age and that's enough to get me as high as I enjoy... I do get really high quality buds. On Tuesday morning I woke up with the expected noise in my left ear but the noise in my right ear was terribly loud and I had lost almost all of my hearing in that ear. Being a life long allergy sufferer I blew it off as plugged up sinuses. By the end of the day however, it was no better. I looked it up on line and decided to see a doctor the next day. She, a general practitioner, said that my ear was free of any foreign object, free of any wax, fluid, or infection; and that the Tympanic Membrane looked normal and healthy. She told me I needed to see a specialist immediately because the condition could become permanent within 72 hours of onset. So the next morning I went to an ENT specialist. My herring was tested and I was examined. I was diagnosed with sudden neurological hearing loss due to vasculitis. Basically my white blood cells are attacking the artery and blood vessels supplying my inner ear. The specialist told my that within about 72 hours the damage becomes too sever for the body to heal and the condition becomes permanent. He added it was a good thing I acted so quickly and that I have a 50-60 percent chance of recovering my hearing. I was prescribed a massive regiment of steroids over the next 14 days.

That was yesterday. Today most of the noise in that ear has subsided and I have recovered some of my hearing though it has a long way to go. I pray my hearing fully recovers. So did smoking that bud last Saturday cause this condition? I do not know and can not answer that question with any certainty. I can however say with full and utmost confidence that the noise I experienced in both ears that I spoke about at the beginning of this dialog was absolutely caused by smoking a little pot. I spent most of 5 years experimenting and the results were 100% consistent. So it is a fact that smoking bud caused a problem with my hearing that would last 5 or so days and it is a possibility that my current condition was caused by it. Suffering with this condition right now, I can tell you that I will not experiment to find out. The previous problem was always temporary, and severe only in the morning for a couple of hours during the 5 or so days it persisted. What I experienced on Tuesday left me unable to listen to music as it sounded squawky, hollow, echoey, distorted, and unpleasant almost to the point of pain - at any volume. Things like telephones were painful and I had trouble understanding speech even though I could hear it. I am a musician and love music. I value my hearing now more than ever. Trying a hit or two just to find out if that was the trigger is out of the question. It is simply not worth my hearing to find out or to get high; and I really enjoyed getting high occasionally. It saddens me and makes me a little angry but I will never smoke buds again. My hearing is too precious. Well, unless I get to live long enough to go completely deaf. Then what the hell right?

I hope this helps answer someones questions who may be experiencing what I initially experienced, and perhaps saves them from going through what I am currently going through. I am not saying my current condition was caused by smoking a little pot but I am saying there is enough evidence to say it is a possibility. Perhaps even a good possibility. If I had known all that I have written before my current condition, I think I would have given it up a few years ago. If you are experience noise or ringing in your ears a day or two after smoking a little bud that lingers for several days you might want to give these words some thought.

@IGBTQ2 That's very interesting. And also sad. I sometimes wonder if it's due to certain fertilizers or what not what are absorbed and then smoked.. Or if the thc and cbd that get into the ears gets attacked by the immune system.
Cannabis is good for so many things. It would he very sad if it would cause tinnitus.
I do remember that the very first time I smoked it that it gave me a high pitched ringing in my ears that lasted until the high wore off. It's never happened since, however. When my T started on November 4th, I did vaporize some prior, but I have no idea if there is a connection or not. I rarely ever smoke anymore. Anyone wanna buy my volcano? Lol

I wonder if taking oil will have a different effect then actually smoking or vaporizing it.

      I don't know
I'm completely serious. My youngest daughter keeps bugging me to try smoking pot to see if it will help with my tinnitus. God I love this kid. Kid, well she's gotta be pushing 30. I don't even know my own daughters age. Jesus. Anyhow, in the city where I live anything up to an ounce of pot is only a $100.00 fine if you're caught. I have $100.00. I also have two lawn mowers in my garage because my car is too new to crank out enough carbon monoxide if I decide I've finally had enough. I'm serious about that also. The last time I smoked pot was back in 1968 and it gave me a panic attack. I know that they have all sorts of different strains now... I don't want another panic attack but I also don't want to be sitting in my garage with two lawn mowers running.
I told her about the panic attack and she offered me pot for the tinnitus and a banzo for the panic attack if I had one. Now is that devotion or what?
So anyhow, has anyone had any success treating their tinnitus by using pot? This isn't a joke.
I tried smoking blue lotus leaves for my muscle spasms so I already have a bong. I'm half way there...
I'm watching a documentary on Amazon Prime about all the uses for medical marijuana and it started me thinking.
