So I've been taking martial arts about a year before my tinnitus started. But the other day an old instructor came and he's really strict, but I like him.

Anyways the expectation in my martial art is to be extremely loud when you ki-hap and it caused a bit of a spike in my left ear but went away.

Do you think I can get used to this? It has never happened before ever since my tinnitus started...

Staying in good health must exceed any rules or customs no matter how respected they are. Explain the issue of your ears to your instructor; if he still refuses then continue to do what is best for your own health.

I doubt this is an issue, the human voice can't really damage your ears unless someone's is screaming close up right into it.. hee aap away

I did jujitsu for many years and went on ok but maybe stand the farest away and have cotton wool in your ears if needed as plugs stick out and get caught doing moves.
Im sure you will be fine ....lots of love glynis
