Today is just a super rough day. Every tone is on max. It's already normally pretty bad. Idk what is going on. I can't mask it at all. I think this is the loudest it has ever been. Idk how I am going to make it. I must be losing my hearing in this ear. I've only had this 7 months. How do you go on year after year, especially if it gets worse?

It's pretty hard to die ( if you're not a mouse or a mosquito etc.), so that's how you get on....

@Jkph75 When tinnitus is severe it can be very debilitating and some people have little choice other than to take something like clonazepam, to get relief from the noise of tinnitus. It helps me but I try not to take it too often because of its addictive nature.
Have a word with your Dr about how you're feeling.

I have taken a 1/4 of a 2mg Valium. It quieted my tinnitus but made me more anxious the next day. It wasn't worth it for me.

All! You can do is hope tomorrow will be better. These spikes almost always settle down I find.

Just keep plugging on my friend. I say to myself my life is to benefit others not myself now. Take long walks in nature - preferably by the sea or in a forest. The air in these places can help alleviate depression and has health giving properties.
