Hey guys,

I'm recovering from the flu and have had a huugeeee spike that has sent me into a bit of a downward spiral. The rational part of my brain knows this spike will likely go away when I'm fully recovered but I'm still absolutely terrified it won't.

I think I just need someone to tell me it's going to be ok :(

Thank you.

It will go back to baseline. My tinnitus goes up a day or so before I get a cold/virus and then I usually end up with a lot of ear wax. Maybe you should check for ear wax over the eardrum.

I had the flu a month or so ago. I had a huge spike towards the end as it went up my tubes. It made my tubes open up like crazy too causing autophony and fullness. I had intense reactive T come back. I was pretty despondent but after a week it started to calm down. I have some new tones going on since then though.

Hey just wanted to update in case someone is in a similar situation, the spike went away about 2 weeks after I recovered from the flu. Perhaps still a tiny bit louder but for the most part it's much better.

Had the same exact situation. Tinnitus was INSANE.
