My all time favorite movie is Mysterious Skin.

But I'd be doomed (well, at least more than I currently am with this f... tinnitus) not to mention The Evil Dead trilogy.

Is one of my favourites, too - especially since, in today's crazy world, it's one of the most spot on movies ever!

I've finally been able to decide on the top 5 list.

      1. Blade Runner (1982)
      2. The Fountain
      3. Solaris (2002)
      4. No Country for Old Men
      5. Master and Commander

Honourable Mentions: Blade Runner 2049, Watchmen, A Beautiful Mind, The Prestige, Star Wars: Rogue One, Jakten (A Danish movie), Eyes Wide Shut, Man of Steel, The Last Samurai.

I generally think very highly of David Fincher and Christopher Nolan, although Nolan has a ridicilous approach to cinema sound (he prefers it to be as loud as possible). I generally really, really like the mix of Science Fiction and Noir. I have a Bachelor's degree in creative writing and that includes script writing, so I know the machinations behind a script. It's not hard for me to see what went down backstage as the movie was being drafted whenever I see a movie several times.

@TheDanishGirl I very recently binged all the Alien Movies, I have to say I think the 1st and the 4th ones are the best. I was pleasantly suprised when I found that Fincher made the 3rd movie, but very disappointed after having watched it. I also think the last installment, from 2017 was pretty good. I don't really like horror, but I like sci fi a lot and I'm unsure if Alien really is horror.... at least, I didn't feel scared :p

I haven't watched a lot of movies, but my favorite one is hands down Arashi no Yoru ni.

Pretty much changed my view on life, in some ways.

These in my list have a score of 10/10:

      - Ekki múkk. Possibly the most beautiful thing on YouTube.

      - The Act of Killing (2012), Joshua Oppenheimer. Documentary about Suharto's dictatorship in Indonesia; it's basically Oppenheimer going around interviewing former military officers. At some point he makes them re-enact their own atrocities.

      - Det sjunde inseglet (1957), Ingmar Bergman.

      - Still Life (2017), Uberto Pasolini.

      - La pianiste (2001), Michael Haneke.

      - Possession (1981), Andrzej Zulawski.

      - Salò, o le 120 giornate di Sodoma (1975), Pier Paolo Pasolini.

      - Tyrannosaur (2011), Paddy Considine.
