Who Here Owns Cats?

My family has three cats. We just got a new kitten last weekend. With all the people here with dog profile pictures I assume that this is mostly a dog person site. But to you other cat people, could you post pictures of your cats?

That's a darn cute cat.

 

Well, the topic enticed me to make my first post. He'll be 11 years old in July. He's a bit eccentric, but he's good, quiet company. He loves to hop in the warm dryer right after I pull out the clothes.

Dogs aren't an option for me due to my hyperacusis.

 

That is one of the cutest cats I've seen. My older cat is like that too. Whenever I do the laundry, he hops in the basket and purrs very loudly.

He's handsome for sure. Got great eye color to compliment the black coat.

 

And I'll bet he really loves getting that luxurious coat brushed. Cute cat for sure!

I like the look of cats but I always remember my nans fat black cat, she was so bad tempered and would attack you when you came through the door. I get PTSD every time I see a black cat.... definitely a dog person haha

 

Most house cats are extremely sweet. Mine are all really docile and social. They like to lay on new people when they sit down.

 

See if my Nan had a cat like that I wouldn’t be so negative about them, that cat was the devil incarnate man.
Always had dogs growing up and definitely prefer them.
That being said I like the fact cats are so independent and really do think they look so magnificent.

 

They really are quite independent. The cat my family took in from the wild taught himself how to use the litter box. They really are brilliant.

 

That’s amazing, they are smart creatures. Wish my dog learnt how to use the toilet took months for him, don’t think he’s that bright tbh.

 

You mean actual toilet or potty training? My family tried to train my oldest cat to use the toilet, but he fell in, and developed a fear of it.

 

On no the poor thing, don’t blame it I’d be terrified if I fell in the toilet haha
Sorry I meant train him to go outside and not in every room of the house ha... he’s definitely too dumb to even try going in the toilet he always licking the water out of it anyway.

just 2 kilos, and quite beautiful.

 

I had a Persian when I was much younger. They're so sweet but not always very smart. Mine would stick his front half inside the litter box, poop, and wonder why it landed outside the box.

My misus is an embroidery designer for embroidery machines, and sells her designs all round the world.
She was designing on the computer one evening and turned round to see Percy (full title Percival) resting up on the sewing machine......xx

.....for the benefit of any dog owners who might be feeling a little left out at the moment....

 

I really wish I could take care of a cat, but I tried recently and failed.

But I love cats.....and dogs too....but after getting T and H I am always a bit tense being in company with dogs, cause you never know when they will start barking. My mom has 2 cats, or she had 2 cats, but one of them, named Anton didnt come home about 2 months ago and he is still a no-show, so we have all lost hope that he will come home again. Anton was the nicest cat, very loveable, funny and curious, loved to cuddle....my mom's other cat is not the most social cat, to put it lightly.
