That's so sad, there's nothing worse than missing cats/kittens.

Where I live, there's lots of coyotes, and people let their cats outside at night. Cats go missing all the time. The one cat we took in was a local wild cat that we didn't want to become coyote food.

Why did you let it outside? Of course cats disappear...

Some cats are indoor/outdoor. That's usually safe in a country like Denmark where there isn't much dangerous wildlife.

Here in California it's a bad idea. I let my cats out in my backyard during the day. Never at night though because wild animals.

Oh yes, with coyotes running around I wouldnt want to let my cat out either.

Yes, it is sad that he is gone, but what is worse is not knowing what happened to him, if he is still alive or dead.....and if so how he died.

I still have a little glimmer of hope that he will show up one day. After all there are stories of cats being away for months and then showing up at home suddently one day.

It is my moms, and in Denmark most people who live in a house or apartment with a garden, lets their cats outside.

Yeah cats sure are wild. They have a life of their own. He's a kitten so he could come back. Kittens have a habit of leaving for a long time.

Even if he doesn't come back, don't give up on kittens. I'm sure there's a kitten in the pound that would love to have an owner.

Me also. But I am terribly allergic to all cats. I love them and wish I could have one as a pet. I do enjoy the visits from our neighbors cats in our backyard. They like to sun themselves on our patio.

@Jazzer your cats are so beautiful. The sewing machine photo made me laugh out loud. That should be entered in a cat photo contest!!

Oh @TheDanishGirl - he is just lovely.
I am so sorry - and I’m still hoping he makes it home soon, but I know that worry.
Like you, I could not tolerate dogs barking any more.
With T and H it would really cause me pain.
Would mum consider getting another cat for cuddle times?
They are so good for us, especially with ‘T’ - concentrating on loving a creature really seems to help me.
Very best wishes for quieter times Sandra

Over here, London area, the dangers are motor vehicles, and also a cat killer, who has killed and mutilated over 400 cats and kittens in the last three years.
      Filthy scumbag !!!
      These killings happen at night.
We live in a gated community comprising a lovely big meadow.
Percy likes to go for a walk at night time, so I go out with him, and he follows my torch beam round the meadow, and all the way home.
Luckily we have no natural predators, except the odd fox, who probably would not attack a cat.

If this bastard knows which home it is from, he leaves the body on the doorstep.
If not, he leaves it on the junior school steps....

Thank you @Starthrower - I emailed the photo to Janome Sewing Machines, and offered it to them for publicity.
      “Even Pussycats Love Janome.”
They simply said “we wouldn’t use it.”

I’ll just mention that Percy had a terrible accident two years ago. He climbed up into the stationary engine of my people carrier, got his foot stuck in the mechanism, went to jump down to the ground, and broke his right side back leg into several pieces.
The vet could do nothing, but a super vet put him back together again, with nine pins attached to leg irons.
He was in a cage for twelve weeks, and came through it very well.
      He is now fine.
I could have changed my car for the price it cost, but who cares - he is one of my babies. xxx

Oh give Percy a big hug from me. And I know what you mean about getting the best care possible. It is so worth it. Poor Percy with his little leg all pinned. It made me feel good to know he is now healthy.

      Hi @TiredOfT - beautiful puss.
I love tabby cats - my first ever was a tabby.
I had a lonely childhood, so I told “Timmy” everything that was happening in my life.
If he ever got tired of it, he never let on.
      I think he saved me.....x

Sometimes my two boys (brothers) sleep head to head - I’m sure there’s some telepathy going on.
Also, when they come in after a walkabout, they gently butt heads.
      Lovely to watch.
Like everybody on this excellent thread, I just love these critters so much. x

TimTom - top - has a symmetrical nose flash,
      Percy’s is offset.
Also, TimTom is 7kilos and Percy 6kilos.

My beautiful pussycats are not irrelevant to my Tinnitus.
Having someone to love, having animals to love, helps to take the focus off of my self, and my noise.
I’m always picking them up to cuddle them, and sometimes I might whisper to one of them, “I’m a bit noisy today sweetheart,” and they just look at me as if to say “I know dad.”
That probably sounds absolutely crazy, but that’s how I am.

I want to get a cat again... mine passed away last year due to a disease he had :(, had him for 10 years.

I miss the company of a cat, would surely help during these dark times.
