if you dont mind may i ask how old are you @Cmspgran
Cmspgran
Hi, I don't mind you asking I'm in my early 40s, clonazepam isn't an ideal drug to be on at all but if it allows you to function and continue to work my philosophy is then it's the only option in my case. Tough at your age but understand what it's like to struggle so much.

so daily 0.5 stopped working for tinnitus or anxiety? i know sedation affect goes away
A great success! Felt almost like my old self yesterday. This has been very difficult month and a half, so I did celebrate a little! I deserved it! Still, not yet completely as I used to be.
DamagedJoe
I am very happy for you! Gives me hope for my own future. I can not accept i will have this for life...

@DamagedJoe Thanks! Just give it time. :)

I don't still feel like before the evening in the club, but it's been almost 2 months now. So these thing take LOTS of time. Never going to a club again. Or any loud places.
hows your tinnitus after clonazepam why did you stop after 7 months it stopped working?
Today, I did something I thought I'd never be able to do, something I feared. Today, I mowed the lawn! It was an eletric lawn mower and I wore earplugs. I was definitely sore afterwards (pain in my face) and muscle stiffness around my body, but I did it! And I had fun! :D

T is normal like usual. My right ear was a little loud afterwards, but I did do a cardio workout earlier in the day before mowing, and the pressure in my right eustachian tube is always messed up. I'll wait and see.

An odd thing happened last night, not sure if it was contributed to by the mowing. But in bed, as I laid on my left side, the ringing in my right ear went up and the ringing in my left ear turned off (or so quiet that I didn't even perceive T) This occurred for less than a minute, then it went back to as it was before. I don't know why this happens at times, but the human body is an odd thing.
My parents are forcing me to go to the ER with catastrophic nox LMAOOOOOOOO pray for me
ECP
You've had nox for a long time, haven't you? Why are they making you go to the ER today? Did something new happen to your ears? Sending hugs.
ECP
How did things turn out yesterday? Are you all right?
cjbhab
how are you doing? hope you are well.
I am currently browsing each university website based on the Shanghai Ranking to find information about research in tinnitus...
Hello, are you still following the NeuroMed protocol at home? Have you found it helpful?
Yellowblue44
Hi @ECP nortriptyline helped lower a killer tinnitus tone but not much else.
How is your ear pain nowadays. On top of everything I've developed ear pain, that lingers even in silence. Do you have this?
ECP
Sorry to hear that. I do have ear pain in silence sometimes. Are you taking B2 and magnesium along with the nortriptyline?
@L along the way - hello!!! How are you doing? If ever anyone sees me back here … it's a sign I am much worse. My God am i progressing. I have not been able to talk due to pain for over a year. I'm also in the best shape of my life because I bike 26 km a day. It's saving me and killing me at the same time.
L along the way
oh dear.. sorry to hear that.. but happy to read that you're in good spirits biking a lot. Myself... also ups & downs. Finding calmth for sleep has been an issue.. but it's been a bit better recently. Besides the physical pain from t, i'm also feeling a lot of emotional pain and sadness linked to it i guess.
L along the way
But well.. day by day.. trying to find inspiration too, distract myself a bit with gaming, eating healthy and going for long walks each day too.. i still kinda live on hope for a recovery with time

@L along the way - good to hear from you. Yes, the physical pain is the worst. I find the only way I have a chance is to live a little but everything I do makes me worse. It's crazy. I did an MRI the other day. Nothing. Ufffff my ears are screaming. I could do T no pain maybe.
One evening in loud place with earplugs, and now it's been 1,5 months of hell. I was basically cured already. What a stupid thing to do.

Despite knowing better, we do make poor decisions. It's our human condition to be among others and connect – to feel alive. It's in our nature, and it always wins.
Actually had an acoustic reflex test performed during the tympanometry test that I was not informed of. "Informed consent". Went up to 95db. New, high-pitched electrical current noise.

I am so sorry. I was also a victim of this test, nearly 5 years ago.

Thank you for your sympathy, I appreciate it a lot. How are you doing these days?
my sister yelled directly into my right ear. it was the first time for me that sound caused immediate ear pain, and it hurt alot. (the pain in my face/jaw today was bad, like most days. Woke up with my right ear and tmj hurting) My life is ruled by pain. I am filled with so much anger right now. I don't want to feel this way, i hate that too!
