@Guywithapug what's the difference between her treatment and the Lenire thing? I thought Shore's treatment was supposed to have long-term results but @Strawberryblonde just informed me otherwise. Can you elaborate for me Strawberry? =)

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

The Lenire is such a major rip off - at £3000 or so it looks like a contrived device to separate suffering people from their money. Plus trips to Ireland which can be very costly. The problem with measuring tinnitus is that subjects are being asked to give a score on their reduction - this is...

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

Having been in medical device development for 30 years in startups, most often the R&D, project and development engineers are laid off and the marketing group is staffed up once the product is released, especially when it's a one product company like Neuromod.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

You must absolutely forgive yourself! You tried a supposedly ‘proven treatment’ for tinnitus. Unfortunately Lenire is anything but. It’s a poorly researched, appallingly trialled joke of a device marketed by snake oil salesmen preying on the desperation of people looking for some peace from...

If some Tinnitus Talk members are or have been in the clinical trials for Dr. Shore's device, are they required to not post any information? I think I remember some member who was participating in clinical trials for Lenire and provided some information here prior to the launch, am I right?

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

Shore’s device is also fundamentally different than Lenire. Shore’s device is based on calming the excited tinnitus causing neurons in an effort to reduce or eliminate tinnitus. Lenire is based on exciting different neurons than the tinnitus causing ones in an effort to cause habituation...

Treble Health: Exploitation of Tinnitus Sufferers

The arsehole has a financial relationship with Lenire too. What's his next job? Offering milk thistle extract and CBT to people suffering from pancreatic cancer? He has a few good videos to pump up the viewing numbers but at the core he has nothing to offer that a high street audiologist doesn't.

...effectiveness. Likely, you would see NIH/VFA in the U.S. subsidize the device for military service members, sort of how they are/have with Lenire. Eventually, insurance will not be able to deny its effectiveness, and it will work its way into major insurance carriers, etc. Even then, there...

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

As of yesterday I counted only 17 clinics in the entire US that were carrying Lenire (and none were in Illinois). This bears all of the characteristics of going the way of every one of those other now defunct "treatments" (SoundCure, Neuromonics, The Levo System, Desyncra). How do they expect...

But tinnitus volume is somewhat subjective. Right? I can have very low level tinnitus and it can be extremely bothersome and intrusive and therefore, I think it’s very high in volume. Somebody could have tinnitus that they estimate to be 60 dB high and it doesn’t bother them. I guess my...

...a trial. In tinnitus, a large placebo response is often seen. Due to this, a crossover design is often better, where the participant is their own placebo. My biggest concern is seeing misleading scams in academia (Lenire & Neosensory) promoted by reputable charities, companies, and media...

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Thanks indeed for sharing! Well, let's hope the Auricle/Shore device will be a better approach to bimodal stimulation! Lenire approval might help Auricle approval and lead to some competition between the companies. On the other hand, Lenire's disapproval and Auricle's approval would show that...

Dr. Will Sedley Requesting YOUR Input — Predictive Brain Processing for Tinnitus

Yeap, that was my idea. Supposedly the timing matters, but who knows how this Lenire s**t works, and if it works at all. Will Sedley sounds alone help me, Lenire alone seemed to have helped a bit, hence I thought maybe I can benefit from a synergistic effect? In the end it’s all attempts and errors.

Lenire — User Experiences and Reviews

There's new firmware available for the Lenire device. My device is dated 2023-04-13, so not terribly old. But it has always had this annoying glitch where, twice during every session, a "scratchy" noise lasting about one second would occur. It was annoying but not really terrible. But I found...

I used the pathsurveyor.com that they mentioned in the video. Here is the timeline for Lenire. Couldn't find Dr. Shore's. De Novo approvals seem to take 18-24 months. 510k (if that's the route) can take as little as a month, with an average of 121 days. Thing is, has it been submitted...

Do you reckon, having used Lenire, that it might rule out being able to use Auricle? Probably a stupid question but due to some change in pathways or something. I'm tempted to try Lenire but don't want to rule myself out of Auricle.

@SarahMLFlemmer I would completely forget about Lenire, never had a placebo controlled study. Shore Device on the other hand aims to calm the hyperexcitability of the DCN. Her company Autlricle is working with the FDA for approval. Very short summation :)

...is. Under the same rubric I don't give much thought to reactivity; the tinnitus changes in response to sound but for me that is a bit of a shrug. Overall I probably complain about my tinnitus slightly less when I am doing Lenire but it isn’t a very meaningful difference to my quality of life.

She already had nerve pain and issues before using Lenire. You can search here and see her posts related to the pain she had prior to Lenire. Attached for your reference. I also believe she was desperate about Lenire and did a full 3 hours in a row for the first few days.
