There seems to be some neural communication both afferent and efferent between the brain and the organs in the ear. I think this explains why people like me also suffer from myoclonus in the middle ear muscles.

How long has that been going on for?

Thankfully my tinnitus isn't affected by foods however I try to stay away from crunchy foods like Cheetos since it sometimes it makes my myoclonus act up.

Can this cause my ear to not hear certain sounds?
