Whenever someone reads some clickbaity article on some very niche but cool medical treatment and then they turn to you and say,"Wow! Look at how far modern medicine has come! Isn't it so sweet that this little girl was able to get a 3d printed prosthetic arm?"

I just want to punch that person. I hate those words. I hate "Look how far modern medicine has come!" This is something only a healthy person would say. No person who is suffering would ever say this.

The only thing us incurables can do is cope. We can put on a big happy face but there's no "fake it till you make it". Happiness is not something that can be forced.

Anyway I'm rambling so I'll just say this...
It's like asking a child from early 1900's in an iron lung to smile...And be happy. That's what we are. We had the misfortune of existing before a cure.
