Remember everyone, brain implants require a Brain MRI, and most of these scans exceed 100 dBA. There are plenty of alarming stories about this on here. I am not saying you should lose hope, but it is something to keep in mind.
I would give almost anything to reduce the tinnitus to a point that a fan or a sound machine would be vaguely relevant. You are blessed.Personally, I like experimenting with masking because it helps me right now, not at some uncertain point in the future. Without a bedside fan and a sound machine, things would be very different for me.
