      Hi Reinier,
      Yes, I have noise induced hearing loss. All my fault. I also have a tinnitus hiss and hyperacusis. The hearing loss is what bothers me the most though. Hopefully, I will have some luck with Dr. Wilden's laser. After a few months of treatment, I'll probably get another audiogram to see if anything has changed. I'll be sure to post it here.

      Yes I completely understand. My hearing loss devastated me. In everyday life the hyperacusis and tinnitus drain my energy.
      But the distortion and hearing loss are what depresses me.
      Some say that LLLT needs time if it changes anything. Probably more than a few months.
      I am interested to see if you notice anything. If I notice a change in hyperacusis I will post this.

      I am noting further slight improvements every few months on LLLT
      My conclusion is that it works but it's very slow unless you are very young with only mild noise damage perhaps.
      You are not going to notice changes after a month or two only, it took me 10 months to get rid of the H and sound distortion and I am not done yet - T is a bit less but it's still there
      This is really a 3-4 years project and even then it's not a T cure unless the T is very mild perhaps

      I'm okay with it taking time. I figured that it would. I just hope that I'll see some improvements over the next few months. That would be nice.

      @briano

      What protocol will you use? That is, how many minutes per day, days per week, break days between treatment days, etc. Thanks!

      This is what Dr. Wilden said:

      Thank you for your audiogram. Your main problem is your left ear at 6 KHz. I recommend that you use your laser for 30 min. daily - for 5 days and then give me your feed back. You should feel an improvement to your general hearing capacity relatively soon.

      The therapy parameters are already set.
      They are: time 30 min. / energy 100 % / puls 0 (= continuous wave)

      We will stay in contact.

      I am using 3 different devices cycling each one everyday

      - lucky laser at 450mw pulsed for 10 minutes per ear

      - polarized light device (600nm-1500nm, peak power at 1000nm) with total power 1800mw, pulsed for 5min per ear

      - same device as above but 10w, 1 minute per ear and 2 minutes behind ear

      The 10w device gives a lot of heat so 1 minute is sufficent I guess but who knows... The longer wavelengths penetrate deeper so that's a plus

      Bobby - can you give some insight into what your T was like before and after? Did you start with a very persistent case? Ringing? Hissing? High pitched? Does it ever stop?

      Guys, I really don't feel like building my own Led device. I could do it easily for a few bucks, but I'd have the impression that maybe it's ineffective and I'm losing my time.

      I'm about to order the Lucky Laser, best home device for the price (1700$) several of you have said.

      At least I know Bobby B and other people have benefited from this one.

      The Lux must be perfect, but right now I can't afford it unfortunately.

      Anyway, best of luck too ! As Bobby said, it seems a loooong journey the LLLT, years maybe.

      So I've been reading up on this Dr John Lieurance guy. He is now part of the Lumomed (Amon Kaiser) network. If you dig through his FB page he claims that Wilden kept the treatment protocol a "family secret".

      This seems.... odd to me. I really want to try LLLT but there seems to be a lot thats "off" about the treatment centers. It does seem some of you have gotten real results though.

      I think the lucky is a good option - its powerful enough and easy to be used out of the box ..
      Wiht LED you can have as much power as you want and cost isn't an issue and the effectiveness is going to be similar or better it's only photons after all.

      @Tom Cnyc
      My T never stops it's a constant hiss/crickets sound, High pitched .

      In addition I had a loss of 35db at 4khz, 10db over the line and 40@8khz and I cannot hear above 13khz .
      Above 10khz is where the audiogram takes a steep dive.

      The cause is due to very loud firearms for one hour in an indoor shooting range with insufficient hearing protection - added to the time I was In the army shooting assault rifles and machine guns wih somewhat light low profiles earmuffs they gave us back then - added to 3 decades of regular clubbing and loud bars and loud music at home and in my car...

      I am still amazed I can hear anything at all after all this - I don't think I have particularly weak ears

      The light therapy definetely helped improve the audiogram now the loss is more like 20db ar 4khz an more above of course but sill better, and H is gone so it's "doing something " but T is tough so I am hoping for more improvement in a year or two at this rate ..
      And of course protecting your ears from loud daily noise - commuting, loud restaurants etc.. Is crucial too

      I took a few audiograms 2,3 and 6 months later and it did show noticeable improvements- even my ENT was surprised he kept saying that 3 months after the acoustic trauma is the cut off time where there wouldn't be any improvements ...sound quality is definitely back to normal as far as I can tell, and overall T is slightly softer for sure but still there 24/7
      Of course age plays a role too I am close to 50 so if your young with less damage then perhaps it's going to work a lot better

      Haven't posted those yet - I plan to go back again for another one in a few months so I will could post those
      This ENT hasn't been very friendly but I want to use the same equipment for a fair comparison . Basically he told me that after 3 months there isn't any change so what's the point of even wasting his time doing audiograms .. I had to insist taking one and besides there isn't any drugs he can prescribe so I guess I'm not a client for him

      Sorry to hear that your ENT isn't friendly. My ENT will do an audiogram daily (as long as I pay for them). However, I'm going to wait until at least the 3 month mark before I go back. If I feel that my hearing has improved, I'll go sooner. I just completed day 4 of treatment last night. I'm supposed to contact Dr. Wilden after my 5th treatment. I imagine that I'll hear back from him on Monday. I'll let all of you know what he says and if he changes my treatment at all.

      So far, I've noticed just a small physical difference. I'm not sure how to explain it. At times, I feel like my left ear is closed with a clothes pin. I feel a bit of tension or tightness in my ear. After the therapy, my ear is a little more relaxed and the tightness goes away. Maybe the laser is doing this or maybe I just get more relaxed during the therapy. I'm not really sure. Either way, the physical tightness feeling lessons a little bit each day. So that's something good.

      Can you help me compare the Lucky Laser and the Konftec ?

      Lucky Laser :
      1, Wavelength: 650nm (visible)
      2, Laser type: Semiconductor laser
      3, Laser diode power: 120mW
      4, Output power: 2*120mW, CW
      5, Wavelength: 808nm (infrared)
      6, Laser type: Semiconductor laser
      7, Laser diode power: 900mW
      8, Output power: 2*900mW
      9, Beam divergence: 1.0-1.5mRAD
      10,Total output power: 1800mW 808nm, 240mW 650nm

      Konftec 520A :
      Quantity of Laser Module : 2
      Laser Material : Semiconductor Laser Diode
      660nm… AlGaInP
      780nm… AlGaAs
      808nm… AlGaAs
      Wavelength & Output Power :
      660nm… 50mW
      780nm… 90mW
      808nm… 90mW

      So
      @650nm :
      Lucky = 120mW
      Konftec = 50mW

      @808nm :
      Lucky = 900mW
      Konftec = 90mW
