It's not odd, it's laziness, they don't care, mediocrity rules the day... in many professions... I find it sad and depressing that the "pros" don't know or care to know. Human nature I suppose, make the paycheck and get home.

I’ve had the complete opposite from 2 of my audiologists I’ve seen over the last couple of years.

The first one - I had great discussions via email with the audiologist who cleaned my ear. We were discussing ACRN. This was a few years ago. I found she was an excellent audiologist who was keeping an eye on the research. Her social media account on her business occasionally posts links to new research - such as the companies involved in regeneration. Recently I enquired about Neuromod and she had visited one of their stands and we also spoke about that. Very knowledgeable professional who will always respond to my emails.

The 2nd one I saw was in talks with Mark Williams - the leading audiologist of The Tinnitus Clinic - I’m assuming he was considering selling the device (ACRN). I think he was surprised I knew who he was talking about and what he was talking about. I told him about Neuromod which was new to him and gave him my thoughts that I would wait for this technology to come out. I sent him the Q&A and information on it. He was appreciative of the information I sent to him.

Like all professionals there’s some good ones and I suppose the ‘old school’ ones. Not saying the old school ones are bad for everything else, but not all in the field will be up to date with the research.

Yeah, your average audiologist's opinion means nothing when it comes to Neuromod.

Some of them don't even know what hyperacusis or TRT is, why would we expect them to be up to date with the modern stuff?

Today (maybe, timezones are hard) is the day of the last conference we know about.

Anyone going to get the insider scoop?

Personally I'm hoping for 110% success rate.
      Releasing tomorrow globally.
      Free.

I am ready to be mildly disappointed.

Well at least we have moved from "soon" to "very soon". I am still a bit disappointed they never got back to @Markku that I know of.

      I didn't get an e-mail, I feel less special.

      What did the e-mail say?

We have moved from “soon” to “very soon”!

Hopefully we can quickly get to “very very soon” and then “imminent” and then “very imminent”, etc! Lol

I think @Allan1967 reached out on his own and that was the response he got. I am on the mailing list and have not received anything either.

That was all it said really. Thanks for the continued interest and there will be more released 'very soon' via newsletter.

I was basically asking if they could just release an update of some form.

Isn't @kelpiemsp at the conference where Hubert Lim is speaking? If so, that would be a great update.

I live in Ireland. I have had tinnitus for 3 months, hissing static type, in the left ear, it came on after head cold. Anyhow I rang Neuromod today and the receptionist said they are finishing off trial at St. James hospital in Dublin and that it won't be completed till May-June.

I thought the trials were all done?

They are not, it's the TENT-A2 study, it's still in progress as I saw in the Q&A.

I hope this doesn’t mean they are waiting for this trial to finish and then analyze it before releasing the treatment. That would mean a European release would be Q4 and then probably a 2020 release for sure for US.

This probably makes sense if you were them, don't you think? I couldn't see them releasing the device knowing that there may be more optimal protocols available.

Page 4 I think. It sums up TENT-A2 as similar results as TENT-A1 and a particular configuration prevailing as having better results than others. Here's hoping that the identification of more beneficial configuration settings will increase the devices success rates even further.

They may learn something new from the TENT-A2 and it may confirm the efficacy 80% - 2/3 significant. If they learn something new it may be incorporated in the final release - which is good news for us if it improves our chances of responding.
