HI
@Paulmanlike
Thank you for your kind words and your respect they are much appreciated. Forgive me for saying so: If I understand you correctly, are you asking me, if I have recovered from tinnitus why do I continue to visit this forum? Late at night or early hours in the morning? Well, I didn't know I was being monitored so will have to be more careful in future. Indeed I have fully habituated to my tinnitus and it is variable in intensity. From silent, mild, moderate and severe. If people like me didn't visit this forum there would be no-one to help others in distress with their tinnitus. I visit other tinnitus forums not just Tinnitus Talk.
I was helped many years ago with my tinnitus in a forum similar to this one by people that had the condition for many years. I feel compelled in some way to give something back and to help others, for I know how distressing this condition can be. It is for this reason I spent many months writing my article: Tinnnitus, A Personal View. I had a lot of difficulty writing it as my tinnitus was so intrusive. There are other people like me that visit here to help others and don't have to call names but they know who they are and I'm sure that you do. It's like saying, why do some people do charity work volunteer or become a philanthropist? I don't know the reason I suppose one just gets the calling to do so.
Hope I have answered your question.
Thanks again for your kind words.
All the best
Michael
