      Thank you @Joe Cuber :)
@Theezy, I have a degree in Visual Arts, but my specialty is drawing. The painting I'm testing and learning by myself. It is a good hobby and you can create your own style! There are some videos on YouTube teaching some stuff if you want to learn. And since I can't leave the house lately, I buy my materials through Amazon.

That is beautiful. I got into adult coloring books and jigsaw puzzles lately. Sometimes I also draw.

Did a Bob Ross paint-along with a couple friends last Friday. I think painting is more effective than all the CBT exercises I’ve tried to distract from my symptoms.

Definitely going to experiment more with this hobby.

Really nicely done. I wish I could paint... I've tried hehe. I can see how painting can be a very effective mindful activity.

Love Bob Ross. Listening to him talk is soothing and his painting of course, except for some of those brush strokes. It's a nice distraction.

Part of a song I wrote about how I wish my eating disorder had killed me so I wouldn’t have to deal with hyperacusis. Unfortunately I can’t record it so it’s just a weird little poem, but it’s motivation to stay alive in case one day I’m able to make into a proper demo.

Deep emotions in those lyrics @Foamearplugssuck. I like the line "My heart is knit to you". I hope one day you'll be able to record it.

      Nice painting!

Painting helped me a lot when my hyperacusis was severe, when it was at its worst.

Nahh, it's a lot more intense for that type quality. My two rigs are 5-year-old i7 10 core 64 GB tower with a 2080 TI graphics card and a newer 12th gen i7 16 GB laptop with a RTX3070 TI. The program is called DAZ 3D which is free but then you acquire content to build scenes from scratch. I have been at this since 2009. Since I can't drum anymore, at least it's something I still can do.

& No, my tinnitus does not fade into the background when I am concentrating on producing these ;)

      Thanks Joe.

I have the S8 Plus which I use to watch TV @ work :)

Digital images look too odd for me to really appreciate, they're just so different than film. Granted, not everyone will see this, but I sure do. Phones and digi cameras are great for sending an image along over the web though, so it has its uses. I do other forms of art, but these are some of my film darkroom prints. For some reason my charcoal drawing and pottery plate are still showing up on the bottom even though I deleted them (files were too big).

I'm a believer in making prints that hang on a wall, it's pretty hard to get a gallery show if they're only on your phone :>)

Nice shots @momus, I'm digging the pelicans. I know what you mean about film. I shot film for many years but switched to digital due to time constraints. I use a Fujifilm camera these days. It's sensor is a tad bit more film-like than other cameras, but, yeah, not quite the same thing.

I prefer Fujifilm processing as well. Love their film simulations. Technically they are Sony sensors though. But my Fuji is so slow and can't shoot much if it's moving but the files (detail, colors, tonality) are amazing. If it's a moving subject or I wanna make a video, I gotta get my Canon.

Before tinnitus, I used to go to Disneyland a lot. Here are some of my images.

Disneyland was the one constant in my life. No matter how much life changed, I could always go to Disneyland and everything would be familiar again. I never could imagine tinnitus could take Disneyland away from me. Luckily I photographed there weekly for 10 years straight and have countless multi-exposed/on-tripod images I still need to process which could last me a life time to finish so that gives me some peace of mind.

It's tragic @another sean, I hope one day you'll be able to return there and take more photos. That last shot there is pretty creative, it looks like you really enjoy the whole process from capturing to post processing. What's your preferred genres of photography?

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, the whole process was/is such a joy for me. I would go to Disneyland just before closing and I would wait until the park was empty. I was the first photographer to start this trend. Each time I left I felt like I got to take a piece of Disneyland with me. And processing, which usually takes about 4 hours, a joy for me just going over each detail meticulously trying to perfect each detail if a place I love makes me so content. Many of the photos I have are of things that no longer exist at Disneyland or have been altered. It's a bit of preserving history as well.

I prefer primarily fine art staged photography. Often times where the sets are built just for the image. Something I've been trying to do for years but space is always a problem since my apartment is ridiculously small and I can't rent a studio because of my reactive tinnitus. I do product photography as hobby/side gig for now.

I had started a thread a few years back showcasing photographers I admired and hoping to inspiring others to become interested photography.

Thanks for sharing @another sean and expressing your own passions. Your Disneyland pursuit is a worthy endeavor. It's a shame you're not currently pursuing that, seems like such a loss. Are you sure you wouldn't be able to take it up, at least occasionally? I'm glad you have a back stock to go through. At 4 hours a photo, that'll keep you plenty busy :p

I have highly reactive tinnitus, so just one trip would probably elevate my tinnitus to new levels unimaginable. I can’t handle any sounds from a speaker and Disneyland plays music throughout the entire park nonstop. I at least keep up-to-date as to what’s going on in the Park through a Disney forum. Besides, it’s allowed me to pursue other things like 3-D animation and product photography so I keep busy artistically in some way or another.

A neighbor gave me a roll of Kodak Gold 200 color film that is probably 30 years old. I only work w/ B&W film, so I took these yesterday In Little Rock and developed them in my B&W chemicals. They would be a bear to print in the darkroom due to the orange mask color film has, but they were easy to scan. Just kinda guessed on the development times. The lady is my neighbor Silvia. Two heart attacks, on her second pacemaker, and the sweetest 93-year-old woman you would ever want to meet. Great sense of humor, and sharp!

Nicely done @momus, nice dynamic range. I also prefer processing B&W, I haven't done it in a few years, but I still have all the equipment.
