      Wow, that is hardcore !
      Hope you recover.
      keep us posted

It , looks, feels, smells, tastes legit to me ? Smells a bit more then other Saffron I have had but it is a large container.
It must be a good fake if it is , I did some tests , color test in hot water etc.
They do sell to a lot of shops, I did some investigating before i purchased.
I seriously doubt they are fake.

Also great for my rice dish . Great taste

Actually, there is a super legit spice shop just down the street, will take it there tomorrow and ask for opinon

      Let's look at the facts.

      One post.
Long time lurker - who only suddenly has deafness issues?
has issue with a spice, not marketed to treat hearing issues, being used to treat hearing issues, and it causes hearing issues

The chances of this are like your winning lotto ticket getting struck by lightning.

I have nothing to gain from warning others about a fake saffron supplier. Do you have vested interest in thepersiantrader?

perhaps not fiscally, but you may have some fun stirring up the emotions of easy targets. that's kinda what trolling is.

I don't give a shit about the persian trader or any other saffron company. I just don't believe you for a second that it caused hearing loss to you and that you've been lurking here for months without a login. It's just too convenient.

u come across as a naive person to think this is some kind of sick joke or to assume every new lurker will sign up. i have posted proof of owning the persian traders strain of saffron and my steroid taper for sudden hearing loss. people can believe what they want and if you dont, good for you. i will leave my psa here and to avoid derailing the discussion or things getting toxic this will be my last post

Before I took saffron my T was very loud. It was impossible to consider. It was 7/8:10 as I think. Then I hv taken saffron for 2 weeks. After this time today I feeling very nice. I can say it's now 1:10. I don't know that it will be come back as loud as like before or not! however, i m very thankful to VASKER for this idea.

I dont think that you would make up something as serious as hearing loss. That would be some sick shit. I purchased the same saffron from the persiantrader and to me it has provided some relief however, I believe that it loses its potency after a couple weeks of consistent use. Have a good evening -

      Hi guys

Im in the UK and ordering some spanish safron today. The saffron from La Mancha is supposed to be the best quality. I've found two legit trading sites for it selling in the UK

      http://www.thetapaslunchcompany.co.uk/spanish-food/paella-mix-spices-sauces/spanish_saffron_1_g

      And

      http://www.purespain.co.uk/spanish-saffron

      Hope that helps someone.

      Now. Some quick questions

      1. Do you add the stalks to the milk whilst boiling and keep boiling on the hob/stove for 10 mins
or do you take the milk off boil and just put the stalks in for 10 mins whilst it cools?

      2. Are you drinking the stalks too ?

      3. I read a few posts with disappointnent that the effects didnt last after a few weeks ? Is that so for everyone on here? Did you try increasing the doseage at the time ?

I just put the milk in the microwave and warm it it, I dont boil it.
Yes, just add the stalks , i crush them for better absorption and drink the whole thing.
It pretty much stopped working for me after a few weeks ,I am now taking a break, hoping for it to work as well when I start again.

Thanks for the Saffron purchase location. I have used (2) types - the saffron from persiantrader and a brand from Costco in the USA. Both seemed equal in potency. However, like RaZah the effect has diminished. I haven't taken any today and will see if a dose tonight works.

      That must be frustrating.

Ive written to a university that studied saffron to ask if they'd have an idea why the effects diminish. And how to combat.

However in the meantime I do have a suggestion. I think adding piperine to the milk mix will help. It's a substance taken from black pepper that has been shown to increase the bioavailability of herbs. I read that elements of saffron are not well absorbed so this could be the missing link. You can get it in tablet format called BioPerine. I'm going to tip one of those into the drink each day.

A bit more on this extract

Swanson Bioperine Nutrient Absorption Enhancer 10 mg is a good tablet by all reports.

Very interesting. So, will black pepper do the trick added to the saffron?

That will make for one nasty milk drink :coffee:

Also , since salt spikes T it makes sense that pepper would reduce it :woot:

Hi - this is my first post. I have been following the conversations about saffron and I starting using it a week ago, 5-10 strands in warm milk, twice a day. I have gone down to once a day from today. Just wanted to ask a couple of questions - for those of you who have got relief from tinnitus, did you start to get some relief from the first day and it gradually got better, or was it an overnight change. I'm not sure what to do. I haven't got any relief from the tinnitus so far (I have had it 5 years) but it actually sounds a bit louder. For those of you who did stop taking the saffron because your tinnitus got worse, did your tinnitus then return to how it was before? I don't want to make things worse, but I don't want to give up too soon, just in case next week it starts to work.

I wouldn't take the black pepper on its own as it's quite a strong taste and lower in the % piperine needed. Get the tablets above I suggest (Swanson Bioperine Nutrient Absorption Enhancer 10 mg)
and open up one tablet a day and pour into your mix. I'm keen to see if it fixes the long term effaccy.

@cs2indinf - are you sure you are using real saffron there is a LOT of fake saffron out there. That's my main worry with this thread is people may say they've tried it and didn't work but they had bought the imitation stuff.
