Saffron Cure for Tinnitus?

Perhaps you all have been hustled by that persian trader. I wouldnt be surprised because:

tried this last night.. Didn't do anything for my T but gave me an upset stomach and a terrible night sleep. Not doing this again...

 

I am wondering how some few strands of saffron could make an upset stomach ?
Anyway I still taking it and I feel better with it , it helped me a bit .

 

Nothing cures T. But some things can provide temporary relief for some people.

 

That's a bit of a pessimistic statement. There are real cures, depending on the root cause.

 

Fair enough, but only a very small percentage of cases are curable. Noise induced tinnitus is not. Or more specifically, tinnitus that arises from synaptopathy.

So, I just bought some saffron. Not cheap! Is there another way to ingest it besides soaking it in warm milk? Can I just make saffron tea and throw some strands into a cup of hot water?

 

I have been consistent with 15 strands morning and evening but notice that it isn't working as well as it did when I first started this almost 1 month ago to the day. I'm very curious if this loses its potency or if the body builds up a tolerance. God Bless everyone -

 

I think its fair to assume that it loses its potency or rather that one builds a tolerance.
I guess there are two things to do about that , either raise the dosage or take a break from it.
I decided to take a break ...looking forward to starting again.

 

Are you still taking all the exact same additional supplements you were taking before when you got such good results, such as the same brand of ginkgo?

 

I am still taking the B1 supplement but i ran out of the same brand of Gingko , I have ordered it but had to get it from Spain so its taking some time. The Gingko i can get locally is not as strong and gives me a headache ...i think.
I have tried the local gingko at various points in my T travels but never did anything.

Maybe that specific brand did something , although I started taking that before the Saffron and felt no difference.
Maybe the combination is key ...lots of maybe's ?

Nothing cures T yet, but who knows maybe the weirdest thing will cure T like shoving pineapple juice in your ears

 

I gave up hope on waiting for a cure. I doubt there will be one, not in my lifetime. Treatment maybe, but even that is at least a decade away. All we have is this stopgaps that provide some sort of temporary relief keeping us from going completely insane.

 

I've done quite the amount of research, I think there will be one but its best not to rely on it

 

Like I posted in this thread - based on studies the best way to extract the active ingredients out of Safron is to use a mix of 50 % ethanol and water, a bit of heat and shaking.
I other words, dump your saffron in a bottle of vodka , shake well and leave in in a warm place for a few days while shaking it from time to time .
Much better return on money

I've done a lot of research too... Including talking with a number of research neurotologists at a teaching university. We don't even completely understand this condition, there may be cures or treatments for different types, but we don't even know how many different types of tinnitus there are. Of course there's pulsatile tinnitus, typewriter tinnitus, and tonal tinnitus, but there may be ten different types that we haven't differentiated yet.

Well saffron for some apparently, benzos for some people, tricyclics, trobalt for some desperate people. None of them are sustainable, but that's why I call them stopgaps.

 

After stopping for a few days , I am back to horrible T . Could be coincidence , who knows with T ?

Hey guys. Long time lurker but first time poster. I only registered to warn people about thepersiantrader and their saffron.

I was sick after taking it the first day and the next morning, I had sudden right sided deafness. I am currently on a steroid taper course and still being treated by my ENT for this. I finally put 2 and 2 together when my family member took the same tainted saffron and was also sick soon after.

I asked to return what is now a £75 doorstop and thepersiantrader refused claiming their saffron is the best and purest around. I call bullshit on this claim as I have been consuming Iranian saffron for numerous years and have never had this before.

I'm going to see if I can get this stuff tested. It didn't smell as strong as normal saffron and possibly fake.

Please stay safe guys and avoid these online leeches and other fake saffron sellers online. Too often I see companies line up to take advantage of our awful plight Buy local from a trusted spice trader or store.

 

Damn, doesn't sound good. Hope you recover with the hearing loss always be careful of where you buy saffron online. I have warned people in this thread before. @RaZaH didn't you have the same brand saffron? Any ill effects?

Sorry I can't quite recall the article. It may just have been a general article I read on Saffron.
