      My saffron arrived from India

Tinnitus: Acoustic trauma (2 years 3 months)

      Day 2:
It is my second day and I notice that my tinnitus is not centered in my head as usual.
Just a little to the left which is unusual.

The noise level a little lower than usual.
Slightly noticeable but it catches my eye

      Saffron:
8 threads with hot wather (the wather turns very yellow 150cc)

To declare whether this herb is placebo is immaterial and unfounded outside of a clinical trial. Someone declaring it is working for them is anecdotal evidence it is still indeed evidence; whilst, without a clinical trial proving an acceptable double blind placebo ratio, declaring something as placebo is infact baseless. Until a trial is conducted the anecdotal evidence out weights the supposition.

Anyway on to the basis of your supposition; yes I agree it could be placebo or it could be that the bodies immune system adapts to the apparent benzo type effects of the herb or it could be that the herb itself isnt being absorbed well enough by the body and it's necessary to increase bioavailability (not the same as doseage). It infact could be a multitude of things.

Hi - I bought it from an Asian shop and it is Spanish. It looks dark red and from all the descriptions appears to be real. It did take some inflammation away from my ankle which had been there some time. For those of you who had success, is there an on-line supplier that can be trusted. I am in the UK. Many thanks.

I may try some BioPerine tablets as well to see if that helps. I do take medication for Rheumatoid Arthritis (this medication lowers my immune system) so that could be affecting it working properly. I would have thought that if it is totally fake it wouldn't have helped my inflammation.

I am starting Saffron again today ... had a pretty rough time since I stopped (or more accurately , Saffron stopped working so I took a break) Let's see if it does anything.

Still waiting on my Gingko tablets that I took on my initial run with Saffron , interested to see if that had any effect.
Planning to stop again when I get them ..wait a few days , then try both again.

I got almost three weeks of heaven when I tried it the first time ...now i am chasing the "Dragon " :woot:

There is no cure for tinnitus unfortunately. Maybe a little relief if we're lucky. The last thing we will hear on this earth is our tinnitus. C'est la vie

@cs1ndibf - I posted 2 UK online shops on the page above. I would certainly take this with bioperin.

An easy way to obtain bioperin in capsule form is to buy tuneric with 10mg of bioperin. The tumeric may well.help your arthritis and any ear/eustacian tube inflammation that could be aggravating your tinnitus

      For Bioperine/ tinnitus I'd try...
      https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...d=1486860839&sr=1&keywords=turmeric+bioperine

I take it out the tablet and pour it into my milk with 5-10 stalks of saffron

Many thanks for the tips stewart_uk. I have ordered some saffron from one of the sites you recommended and will give it another go. Has saffron helped you so far?

People from France could buy saffron from the 'magasin BIOCOOP'. (Safran stigmates entiers). It's a good quality of saffron which I hv been taking and it gives me some relief from the high disturbance.
      Bon courage

      Hi guys,

I just got my saffron, but didn't take it yet.
But I have to say not being bothered by T for a week or so anyway. Its extraordinarily low. Right now, I would say I don't have T. Weird, right? Since I just have to scroll back a little in my history here to see my complaining.
Usually it should come back now with revenge to show me its evilness.

Maybe Amitriptylin is working. Taking 20mg each evening around 9pm for 3 weeks now.
..but that would be too easy, right?!

      Who knows ? T is a strange beast .
I just started Saffron again yesterday and I now have 98% silence.
It was bad after I stopped , got better after I started again but that might just be the usual ups and downs of T ?
Its impossible to try and understand this condition .

Also , when I get these breaks I get extremely anxious , not sure if I am dreading it coming back or if there is some other connection ? I mean my body literally hurts with anxiety ...back pain etc ?
Like a drank 20 cups of coffee ?

I started to take Saffron again amost a week ago. I raised the daily dose to 2x 0.2g (strands), once in the morning and once in the evening with a cup of hot milk. The first 3-4 days my T decreased significantly (by about 30%-40%). But from the 5th day onwards my T got back almost to the original level. Looks like Saffron doesn't cure T but can provide a rather short temporary relief.

Damn right it worked! No just kidding, I'm glad it's helping you. I have some to try. I'm on so many meds I need to detox off some of them. I wonder if you could mix Saffron with a Cappuccino instead of milk and still work?

Again before starting doubting the long term effects of this I urge people to mix it with bipoerine or "bioperine (10mg) with tumeric" if you cant find bioperine on its own. I honestly think it'll increase the effaccy of the herb sgnificantly.

Just a little light humor. I don't doubt that it works. I'm happy for anyone that gets relief from anything really. I'm trying Saffron and maskers.

I think I Saffron overdosed....don't feel well. It could be other meds too.

      Found this:
Taking large amounts of saffron by mouth is POSSIBLY UNSAFE. High doses can cause poisoning, including yellow appearance of the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes; vomiting; dizziness; bloody diarrhea; bleeding from the nose, lips, and eyelids; numbness; and other serious side effects.

I think any more than 5-8 stalks once a day is a hell of a lot. The original poster said this. More us not always better. I'm sticking with once a day and using bioperine to make the herb work better.

Yeah, I think I took too many strands. They are so small and short that I thought it was okay. It could be a very potent substance.

Well, for that we would need to define what a "large" amount is .
I did weigh the stalks , 30 stalks are about 50 mg , therefore 15 are about 25 mg which should be fine.
I probably take about 25 to 30 in one glass of milk now , twice a day.

Apart from the massive bleeding from my eyes and anus , I am good :nailbiting:

I would say that it varies , second day after I started was great . Its about 70% percent better right now.
Obviously it could be something else ? Who knows with T ?
