Had a bad night yesterday and today it's been better, but still has me on edge. It once again reminds me how mentally weak I am when it comes to dealing with spikes and such.

Long time no see everyone. My tinnitus is back to making me extremely anxious because for some reason I'm hyper aware of it again. I'm sure it will pass, I've been thru this before. But I'm really scared

Sometimes it makes me both cynical and indifferent – and I know it's not good for me and my surroundings. Trying to spare the ones I love from it as much as possible.

I had 5 good days last week. For some reason, today is worse. I didn't even do anything yesterday to aggravate my T. Well, 5 good days in a row is still a major improvement.

Today it's like the running motor drone sound and the high-pitch string sounds are competing who can be the loudest. My right ear has been feeling different since the car horn some weeks ago. I'm worried about hearing loss. I don't think the car horn is the reason but maybe the straw that broke the camel's back.

You are from Japan ? Which part ? I have been there 2x--4 cities. How is the fireworks as an issue there ? How to protect yourself fireworks ? REgards

Habituation is real, life is good again!
Wait... no, my mistake, this is still dreadful, life ruining and daily torture.

Although I have rediscovered drinking & smoking and that they have no effect on my tinnitus whatsoever so bring on a quicker end!

Hi Marx, just wondering how you are now. Did you take ldn and how did you get on. I have it in the fridge but I'm scared to take it. My tinnitus is very bad and I'm hardly sleeping at all

Hi folks, not been here for a while. My T and H are just the same but trying to move on. I posted some time ago about meetings in the UK. Freakin' cicadas high season. Their level is surely above 90dB all day long, as I happen to live in a suburb with lots and lots and lots of pine trees. They often give me the scares that I hear dysacusis tones on their screech too.

Sat in the garden listening to the wind in the tall pine trees. Is it green or brown noise, I don't know, but it was soothing to my tinnitus ears. Almost made it disappear for a moment there.

I still don't understand how few hours in a nightclub with earplugs, causes worse issues than being there without earplugs. Almost 3 months gone and still having issues...

Always funny when you describe your symptoms to ENT, and they look you back like you are a crazy person.

And this problem is all around the world it seems.

@Heal82 great to see that you have improved. Can I ask how many months in you started to notice improvement and what may have helped.

10-12 months when I started noticing improvements. How ever, I might add that I did start seeing improvements after 4 months itself. After one year I became much confident in going out and driving my car..ofcourse with ear protection. Time was the biggest contributor along with the fact that I remained in silence for almost 10-12 months. I am still not that adventurous.

I am trying out Betaserc (Betahistine), I try anything at this point.

Wrath of God. That should be new name for all ear and hearing related conditions.

@Annina I am feeling better. I don't know if it's because of the medicine or just time. But, the same week I started taking the medicine, I started to feel better.

Hey Erica, I am about to start a clinical trial for Ubrelvy related to my menstrual migraines. I'm curious what effect it might have on my tinnitus. Can you tell me more about your experience with it? Thank you!

I think the Dr. out in California has been studying the relationship between tinnitus and migraines as well. Dr. Djajilian or something along those lines.

Hi @gracepixie , so sorry I didn't comment earlier ! The Ubrevly did not seem to do anything, good or bad, when it came to my tinnitus sounds and reactivity. It did seem to help calm down inner ear vibrations, but that's been inconsistent too.

Hi Sharon, you sounds like an expert on cats, if you had six of them 😊 Is it normal to a cat to hide under a bed. Maybe i should build somekind of cat house to her? i want it to notstay under my bed so much. But it still a new home for her, so it will get better with time i think 😊

I think I might have covid, my tinnitus randomly started raging really bad. I've been sick for 3 days with no symptom improvement, and it keeps getting louder and louder :(

It gets better my tinnitus was louder to when I had covid. It took me some months and It was my "normal" tinnitus again=)

Last weeks have been goin pretty good. Only like 1 "loud sound" incident each week. Focusing on relaxing and just getting my mental state together. Feels good when u got some energy to actually do something :) Feeling positive.

Went to ENT today. As I expected, no help. I was insulted when he said "Your ears look so healthy, I would want them myself! You have perfect hearing at your age!" Well, that is good. But still.

Then why there is pain inside my ear then? Or the feeling of fullness or why my ears go haywire whenever I hear high frequencies?
