Had my 2 month Tinnitiversary a few days ago. Aside from a big recent spike it seems to be slowly getting better. We'll see at 3 months. Sep 13, 2020

T seems to be louder in my left ear without any real cause. I've heard of this happening to others but it's strange. I'll take it easy today

Could be a delayed spike from my bike ride or something else in the last few days. Is this delay common?

It was probably the bike ride. Longest spike yet - 5 days now. I'll keep hanging in there.

Don't get careless with your good days. Was doing well recently, forgot earplugs on a bike ride today. Now have ear fullness and louder T.

I done the same recently. Didn't wear ear protection in my noisy old car (I've always worn protection in car) and the next day my T was pretty intrusive. I definitely became careless. Easily done.

New T seems like a good excuse as any to quit nicotine. 2 yrs of cigs and 5 of vape; now once my juice runs out I'll put it down for good.

Lack of sleep definitely affects my t. Been sleeping well recently but only got ~4hrs last night. T is for sure louder today.

Yeah, sleep is important. I seem to have less noise when I use CPAP. Got static atm. I don’t like it.

Stupid mistake - was driving (45mph), noticed side view mirror was pulled in. Rolled down the window to adjust it and ears blasted w/ wind.

Anyone wear foam earplugs for sleep? I sleep on my side and the seal sometimes breaks. Should I be concerned?

I don't think it's a concern. I recently tried some earplugs made out of pure wax and you can mold them, put them in your ears and then the part that remains outside push with your finger again against your outer ear, making the best seal I experienced. Not the best reduction. They claim it's 27 dB. Worth a try I would say.

The only reason you should be concerned is if you're sleeping on an active construction site.

Read about Visual Snow recently and it's clear that I have at least a mild case. I believe it precedes my t but I just notice it more now.

Same here. I especially notice it more in the dark, but it's still mild enough that it doesn't usually bother me. Wish my T was like that tbh

May have got a minor spike from singing in my car (not to music, just by myself). Not out of the woods just yet.

Been off wellbutrin for 4 days. T volume has reduced significantly, and withdrawals seem minimal (some tiredness). Hope this continues.

Ear fullness from yesterday still there. Hearing is muffled with mild t spike. I'd guess from pressure changes while underwater swimming.

Went swimming today. It was very therapeutic but I wonder, should I use plugs for splashing/water in ears? I swim in my backyard pool.

That's a good question. You don't want an ear infection, though, that's for certain.

As luck would have it, I feel a fullness and a muffling in my ears tonight. Infection might be the cause. Too little too late I suppose.

I wonder if the stress from the wellbutrin taper is doing more damage to my ears than the meds themselves. It's all so confusing.

Been going back and forth about wearing ear protection while driving. A very loud truck drove past me today. Will wear muffs from now on.

Took a warm bath today - very relaxing. My T seemed softer. Seems stress has a lot to do with T, or at least how loud I percieve it.

Anxiety about t is high. Took ear plugs in and out sitting on my patio in the rain. Felt a slight pop in one ear. T is same, still worried

Hard to sleep. Took 12.5mg of doxylamine last night. Got to sleep but woke up a lot. T seems about the same this morning.

Weird thing about my spike: my whine is louder but my cricket noises are still the same. Maybe the former is noise and latter is medication.

Starting my taper for wellbutrin. Feeling confused w/ aches in spine and muscles. This could be due to lack of sleep. Hope this goes well.

Skipped a dose of wellbutrin yesterday - tinnitus seemed better but got horrible brain zaps. Will talk to my psych about tapering today.

Tried some CBD gummies yesterday + today. Doesn't seem to affect T but it does calm me down.
