  • 40 minutes @ nightclub few days ago was not worth it. T level is still bit higher than normally... Gotta be wiser in the future.
Not the best idea to go to nightclub. I only was there for 40 mins to say goodbye to my new school "friends". Newcomers party.Never again.
    S
Nightclubs are hell holes. They've always been. Music is way too loud in those places.
School starting next week. T is still there. I dont really care about my T. My ears still dont like when I am exposed to certain frequencies
Still no good. Every time I listen music or am too much around loud sounds, my ears start to feel strange and my hyperacusis comes back.
    S
@Contrast Does it heal? It has gotten better during time but...
    Contrast
i mean it could but no guarantees. The less damage the better chance of recover.

Hope it starts to get better for you mate. My ears still click to noises but at least the pain has mostly gone.
First time at gym today since getting T. The metal clanging together is still not a good sound, noticed my T bit louder after workout..
    S
@HeavyMantra My H got worse again. There was so much noise on gym, my ears are "sensitive" again. It's definitely something physical inside my ear...
    H
I see. Well, expect spikes apart from noise too. I recently just left when I got to the gym, even with earplugs it must have been like 70 db. But with that the problem is the horrible, soul-crushing shit they play on radio. Back in the day I had in-ear headphones and listened to metal, effectively blocking that out
    R
I don't know why, but if I stay in very quiet for long, like a couple days, then my H goes way up. If I'm out and about, working, etc, then that aspect comes way down.
Lots of spiking today for some reason. One so loud it affected my balance. I have not been exposed to any loud sounds even.
I've been taking a break from this site. My depression has gone away after I started taking the break. I don't think about my T so often.
    R
Hang in there man. It's going to get better and better. I think the first fluctuations are fast and then the rest is slower. Stay positive. Some people's clears entirely at the 5-6 month mark.
    S
@Rb86 I went to barber today and now my H is worse again. It has to be physical... Thanks for support!
Another morning, another day with T. The volume seems to be stable. No spiking much. It just is. Slight H remains. Regrets. Regrets.
    S
Me and my big mouth. Vacuumed for a moment a T spiked. Fuck it.
I have job interview tomorrow. I need to work. Even for 6 months so can pay my loans. It's just that my depression has gotten worse after T.
    dayma
Good luck on the interview man!
A loud T day is followed by silent morning. Interesting.
    Mister Muso
hey there - I've been having a loud T morning, after a quiet T day yesterday. The ups and downs of T.
I consider myself lucky I can go to movies again. I have to remember take my earplugs with me next time. It was bit too loud few times
Going to movies: Part 2. Let's see how it goes this time.
    S
@Jack Straw I forgot them at home. I would have used them this time because the movie was too loud at times. But I survived it. I'll see tomorrow morning if my ears are sensitive again.
    COYS
    How are they today?
    S
@COYS Surprisingly good! Only slight increase in H and its normal now. No increase in T or anything. There has been improvement. Since last time I was in movies, my ears felt worse after.
I need to do one audio track but how? How can I do it if my ears can't handle making it? So F-ING depressed lately. N
    S
Seriously need to think about going to TRT. I miss making my music so much.
    Contrast
I am so sorry what you are going through, I've been there it can take 10-12 months to heal. TRT has logical flaws as it does not seperate pain hyperacusis from loudness hyperacusis, and failed to show any difference then regular sound therapy. TRT is the equal of treating nerve damage with massage therapy, it helps relieve symptoms but it's not good treatment. Do proper homework before considering it.

It's weird, this has got to be a very common problem for musicians. But I don't find much about it online. I have no idea how to get back to making music. Maybe I won't be able to
Tried to make some music. Not good. My H got bit worse after that, but my T stayed "normal". And I had very low volume on my speakers....
    S
I gotta try What I am cabable of,but be careful with it. I managed to create a beautiful melody..
    COYS
Was it the frequencies that didnt agree with you or the volume?
    S
@COYS it's the frequencies. The volume is not that loud. But my monitor speakers have very bright treble. I need to let my ears heal even more. Now my hyperacusis is worse again. I has to be physical issue within ear. It's like broken bone. Feels fine as long as you don't use it.
I went to audiologist. Now I had a proper hearing test in soundproof booth and I have perfect hearing up to 8khz :)
    S
Unfortunately they don't do over 10khz test.
    Ivkopivko
Cool to hear! Welcome to the club, did two tests in last 2 months in different booth, both went with "perfect" hearing results ... shi**y hidden hearing loss...
Movie over... Still alive and my T seems same as it used to. No spikes during movie and no need for earplugs.
    COYS
    Glad you enjoyed it!
    Ken219
When did you go to the movies?
    S
@Ken219 Today. I went to see aladdin. I did not use earplugs at all. And now I am back at home and my T is unaffected.
Going to movie this weekend... I wonder if I am ready.
I can hear almost 17khz with my headphones on. But i cannot hear 13,5khz well at all.
    Ivkopivko
That's great result. I'm allright accross all spectre but at 15.3xx, It cuts off or I need to increase the volume much to hear above
    S
@Ivkopivko I have to turn up volume too to hear that high.
