    I don't have noise cancelling headphones but I've been listening to audiobooks on my iPod for six months. I keep the volume limit locked at about 50%. It actually helps quiet my T a bit. I don't have noise induced T --so maybe that's why it doesn't bother me.

    Yes I only use my phone speaker with a noise cancellation app, the white noise. I only put it in low volume near my pillow it cancels the sound and puts me to sleep like a baby, and after that the app shuts itself down after like 15 to 20 minutes.

With Bose noise cancelling headphones you can turn on the noise cancelling and not turn on the music, which is what I recommend that you do.
