Did you go for Lenire? What results have you had, if any? I have it available near me, but the $4950 cost is a little much of a chance to take. I was ready to jump on the bandwagon, but I hesitated because of all the negative reports I have read on Tinnitus Talk.

I think that Dr. Shore's trials were really well run especially when we compare them to the Lenire trials. I think there's almost no chance of FDA asking for another trial, because she was really meticulous. But you're right, who knows? No one has a crystal ball to predict the future.

I still do not get the premise behind Lenire. It sounds like a bunch of nonsense. Is it supposed to make everything louder so tinnitus is "drowned" better? That sounds like inducing hyperacusis and makes no sense whatsoever. At least the premise behind Dr. Shore's device makes sense.

I think Lenire works to some extent. The fact that some people who have tried Lenire say their tinnitus doesn't bother them as much anymore, for me, means some amount of success. Probably there are people for whom Lenire has worked but who are not here.

All I want is to reduce my tinnitus loudness, I did my own habituation. So far only Auricle is promising in that aspect. Lenire isn't meant to reduce loudness, neither is TRT.

We haven’t. The study could say ‘90% of people cured’ but we don’t REALLY know until people get their hands on it, all we can do at this moment in time is take their results at face value.

Any "study" that shows hyperacusis (and tinnitus) cases improving with massive amounts of time are scams. Hyperacusis especially improves with time on its own.

The issue with Lenire is there's little chance of improvement. With cochlear implants it's about 70-75%. Plus if they can preserve more residual hearing, a chance of better hearing too.

I know I've been helped by Lenire, but I get it might not help everyone, whereas this is kind of what we've all been waiting for. If you've been thinking of getting Lenire, I recommend holding out for this instead. Hoping we'll all be sleeping without any noise soon.

Except this one has been through proper clinical trials and shown statistically significant improvements. Lenire and the Michigan device are not the same.
