Meanwhile in Russia, it's looks like Putin is in power until he dies (he is pretty much changing the constitution to allow this). Always thought that would be the case anway.

 

Biden is a bought and paid for, weak candidate but after recent events especially I am going to hold my nose and vote for the far lessor of two evils at this point. Trump HAS to go.

 

It's hard to image Biden not winning the next elections after the whole shit show with Trump mishandling the corona situation, the economy and now this with inciting violence against protesters. I hope for you @FGG and other Americans that Biden will act reasonable to the demands from the left of the Democratic Party. What’s wrong with the Donald? Nobody is perfect. He’s getting tariff money from China and making other countries pay their fair share on defense spending. He’s a little rough around the edges with his personality at times. I didn’t vote at the last election.

I was trying to look at his good points, not his bad. After all he is our current President. At least Republicans are pro-life. I do understand the Narcissistic traits he has. Probably from being a business man and his wealth.

 

I'm not into party politics at all, but, and it's a big BUT, Trump is an embarrassment. Among other things, as much as he is right that other NATO countries really aren't pulling their weight, the guy understands nothing about geopolitics, and buddying up to some of the world's most authoritarian leaders is just cringeworthy, while these leaders are just taking the piss out of him! The man is trying to be something he isn't and can't be... to be like them! The US lost the plot when it voted in Trump.

I don't know the rules in the US, but really candidates need to have a certain minimum time in politial office and to not be over or under a certain age.

 

If you have to ask, nobody will convince you. Shall we start with his impeachment? Maybe the contradiction of Stormy Daniels and his bible-thumping? He shouldn't even be president anymore.

I had never heard of her or her book until now. I see she was on Jimmy Kimmel. Some people will do anything for money or to promote a book. How can you be certain everything is true in her book?

Look at Elton John. He was on Jimmy Kimmel as well to promote his book. Other people might have a different perspective than he does on certain subjects. I don’t think his book even sold that well judging by the way it’s been discounted online.

After all the protests that have been going on I thought Donald Trump would have at least done something to change the current situation that African Americans have been facing for centuries. Too bad he is too busy hiding under his bunker.

It’s not right at all. It sickens me that a country like the USA are still treating African Americans like shit. The cops are going way out of control even though they have done nothing wrong and the cops ending up getting fuck all any punishment and victims getting no justice.

I can’t believe this has been going on for too long and it took the death of George Floyd to make BLM movement well-known and people and celebrities posting and wanting change too.

Here is an example: people die because they can't afford insulin (some Americans try to use smaller doses, substandard doses to ration it). Republicans say heloing those people is socialism. So basically, screw the poor if they die. The mentality seems to be unborn babies lives have value but once you arrive into the world, preventing your death is "socialism."

Of course some people on here will have voted for him. Let's be honest, Clinton was hardly a great choice either. It's like the choice between Corbyn and Johnson in the UK.

Trump actually had some decent ideas, but his way of handling things and his overall persona have made the US a bit of a laughing stock. The man cannot be trusted. He has no idea about how to handle people and can't see past his ego.

But is he really to blame for how the coronavirus has hit the US though? Not many of the more powerful nations have done a much better job. The UK certainly hasn't, Russia hasn't, Spain hasn't, Italy hasn't and so on. Or maybe the question should be, would anyone else have done a much better job? It's easy to say in hindsight that they would have.

 

If he got Stormy Daniels pregnant you can be sure Trump would have wanted her to abort. Trump is pro-life only to tick a box for the purpose of GOP support, not principle.

 

Trump WAS impeached. Unlike popular opinion, "impeached" isn't synonymous getting kicked out of office. It's merely the first step towards doing so, and it happened. He would have gotten kicked out if not for the GOP shielding him.

No offense, but I can tell from where you're going here that you're really not that bright, which is true of most Trump supporters. So there's no use trying to educate you, which would start by teaching how the art of critical thinking. Should have happened when you were a kid.

I hate politics because it's all about zealots picking a side instead of rational thought, but I will say Trump is making disability claims extremely difficult for people who need it. His cuts on environmental protection are damning.

He really doesn't care about the poor, but I guess if you are a small business owner he might have some policies on regulation cuts you could benefit from. Over all you don't need to hurt the poor to help the middle class.

I believe (but can't prove) that Trump knows poor people who support him are useful idiots. He speaks their lingo so he can get their vote. Poor people who fear hispanics seem to be a large percentage of his fan base (unfortunately). Trump was ALWAYS a secular business man. it was NOT into his election that he started playing with cultural conservative vibes and lingo to appeal to his largest audience.

I'll always defend less regulations (especially in bio-medicine) Trump cutting regulations everywhere like a mad man coincidentally lead to a boost in the biomedical research. However he has no interest in the advancements in the bio-sciences. He'd rather blame Mexicans and china for all our problems.
