This is literally what a person with dementia sounds like when you challenge their interpretation of reality and they get angry at you, insisting that what they believe has to be true.

Moran was trying to give Trump an out so he didn't come across as a complete buffoon. He kept pressing to move on, but Trump is either convinced the MS13 is actually on his knuckles or he is so committed to the lie he has to hammer it over and over.

How can anyone see numbers in that photo, that are very clearly meant to act as a visual interpretation of the symbols below it (M = Marijuana / S = Smile / 1 = God / 3 = Honestly I'm not sure what the connection is there but apparently it means Skull) and think "Yeah, that's a tattoo"? ETMLI5

Then, the photo indicates what the symbols are intended to be interpreted as; it's a visual indicator. What numbskull would believe there is gang tattooing their gang signs in perfect sans serif font?

I'm sorry if this post isn't allowed. I work at a State Park though Americorp, working on a trail crew building hiking trails. That is until today when I found out myself and all of my coworkers are now out of a job because our funding was cut along with almost every other Americorp worker in the country. I'm devastated not only for the loss of all of our jobs but what it will mean for hiking/ backpacking trails and their maintenance or lack of maintenance now. I just want to create as much awareness of this as I possibly can because I feel like i haven't seen much coverage about it in the news, although it's a new development so that might be why. I'm sorry that new trails might not be built and that old ones may no longer be maintained well anymore. We're all devastated and feeling frustrated right now. Very few people have genuine hatred toward trans people. They deserve equal rights, but not rights that go beyond those of others. Until recently—over the past 15 years or so—trans and similar gender minorities generally insisted that their private lives were nobody else's business. That perspective seems to have changed significantly.

Hiring illegal immigrants at extremely low wages, while expecting taxpayers to cover their expenses, is not something I believe should be supported, let alone encouraged. There are far better ways to assist farmers than by relying on undocumented workers. If something is illegal, and our elected officials support it, then there is clearly a serious problem with how our country is being governed.

On the White House "Presidential Actions" webpage, on April 28, 2025, President Trump outlined executive orders titled Protecting American Communities from Criminal Aliens. One important section of the document focuses on the principle of Equal Treatment of Americans, responding to a trend in recent years of policies that favor undocumented immigrants. For example, some communities offer in-state tuition to non-citizens, while denying it to American citizens from other states. These types of policies need to be addressed through legal means, and President Trump has made it a clear priority.

I'm sure it's the latter. Trump is a moron, but I don't think he is delusional, and even he understands that the photo was fake. I think the unhinged lying is deliberate and sinister: He knows it's not true, and the people around him in power know it's not true, so it becomes a loyalty test. What's more important, the truth and ideals, or raw power and narrative (even power over the truth, so to speak)?

This is not new; a lot of fascists and authoritarians have deployed the same tactics throughout history. You'd better nod along if Stalin says that production quotas in agriculture are better than expected, even though everyone knows that people are dying of starvation.

It wasn't just me, though. Many people were raising alarms about Trump before the election. It was right there in plain sight to see. He told us exactly what he planned to do. The tariffs, the fake promises (ending wars on day 1), and undermining civil liberties. Only that, it has turned out to be even worse than I feared. The fact that he is also running a crypto scheme and manipulating markets while in office is the most corrupt thing I've ever seen from a president. It makes the Watergate scandal look like child's play.

People make the mistake of not taking what he says seriously, but that's just wrong. He absolutely means what he says.

I just wanted to be fair. Now we have no allies, strained relations with good neighbors, and we are completely isolated while China surges ahead. The economy and the dollar are collapsing. Can this even be fixed?

I'm hopeful that it can be fixed, but it will take at least 2 decades to repair and undo the Republican damage, like always. Rebuilding our relationships with allies is going to be a long and arduous process.

China is definitely going to surpass the US now, thanks to Trump, who has accelerated that outcome. That's a certainty at this point.

True. Although I would I say that it has always been weird to me how these right wing lunatics profess their love for Jesus and yet oppose the very values and teachings he preaches. Unfortunately, we will need to let Trumpism play out. People need to feel the economic effects and harm it causes; only then will it force people to act. It sucks real bad for the ones who didn't sign up for this, but there is no other way I see. Once the pain sets in, that will be the time for the Democrats to strike. Politics is very much a waiting game. You have to know when to hold back, so you can allow your opponents to make mistakes. And once that happens, you strike and keep the pressure on.

The first thing Democrats need to do is focus on winning back the many people who didn't bother to vote in 2024. They should also not assume any regretful Trump voters (if any) will default to them.

Most importantly, they will need to keep their messaging simple for the idiots in this country. This is very important. We have brain-rot levels of comprehension in this country. People want simple slogans, promises, and vibes. Mix in some lies, too. That helps. However, when it comes to lying, the repercussions are bigger for Democrats than for Republicans, which is such a BS double standard, if you ask me. So they probably can't lie all that much.

But yeah, don't bother sharing any real vision or strategy, as most people will tune out anyway. Just keep it simple and basic, like universal paid leave, free monthly income, universal pre-K, free community college, 30 hour workweeks, etc.

When they lose their jobs and homes and cannot access any social services because of Trump and Elon, only then will we see their support begin to waver.

For now, Fox News and other media outlets, along with online content streamers, have convinced them that all of this is Biden's fault. They have not yet experienced enough loss or widespread hardship to begin turning against Trump and the GOP. It may take a major recession, or even a depression in the United States, along with the failure of government services such as FEMA, HUD, and bank protections, to shift their support.

The thing about cult behavior is that it is very difficult to break. In this case, the behavior is not limited to a small group of people. It involves millions, and they exist within isolated circles of online social engagement. This makes it even more difficult to reach them.

Land values are up, but if history is any guide, they could decline tomorrow. Real estate moves in cycles. I remember the real estate crash of the 1980s very clearly. However, the John Deere tractor that now costs twice as much as it did years ago likely will not drop in price. The mechanic who works on that computerized John Deere earns a high wage. The days of Grandpa fixing his own tractor are over. Farming is like any other business. Some people succeed more than others.

Trump is facing some challenges. However, many of those challenges were created by irresponsible decisions from Democrats. DOGE has uncovered trillions of dollars in questionable expenditures. The list included over a hundred line items, ranging from gender transition surgeries to pride events in the Middle East. The political left has lost touch with reality. It has reached a point where even hearing CNN makes my ears ring from the absurdity.

This is what the left is OK spending our taxes on.

The Catholic Church is far more conservative than Trump. This organization is officially against divorce and all forms of birth control, which Trump would never even consider outlawing.

Trump is no religious nut, but he has to pay lip service to the religious to some extent to get their votes.

The percentage of religiously unaffiliated in the United States is 29%, which is more than the number of Catholics or any Protestant denomination, Muslims, Jews, etc. The unaffiliated do not have political representation because, unlike the religious, they are apathetic about their beliefs or lack thereof.
