Olympic Tears...

Most of us will never know what it feels like to run a mile in record time in front of a packed arena, but we can connect to what it feels like to work hard and achieve our own goals with the support of our lovely family and friends.

In my opinion we all come into this category.
We have been handed one of the toughest assignments there is.
Small wonder it brings us to tears at times.

I would also add that for those of us who have suffered childhood abuse and or neglect, a kind word (acceptance/applause) can trigger a tear or two.
That could well be embarrassing,
but is certainly not shameful.

It means that

“we know that our true worth has been recognised by another.” (at last)

Well - how lovely is that?

Anybody out there who sees this post as a bit pathetic.....will be immediately booked in to a course in psychology.

I don’t know how I found all you lovely people several months ago. My life was black with despair and I thought constantly of the S word.
I was in a RTC yesterday , someone hit my car badly, and I’ve needed to be in the house today. That’s not great as I live alone, long story, and I’d love to have a cat. It’s actually quite difficult to find a cat to rehome, they get snapped up quickly down here in S. Devon. That’s a real positive though for them to find lovely new homes and laps to snuggle on.
I’m glued to this site today and I haven’t been for a while!

My Sylvie is a Clinical Hypnotherapist Nan.
You may be able to pick up how to do meditation or self hypnosis.

I think it is very beneficial.

I know, lucky you. I’m seeing a Clinical Hypnotherapist, she has T herself from
a head injury. I play her CD each night at bedtime.
I’m lucky to have 3 little grandsons hence the Nanny Chocolate logo.
The hypnosis is beneficial definitely.

I play Sylv’s tape as I fall asleep.
If I wake too early, I play it again.
She taped a live session with me,
straight off the top of her head, unscripted.
It is a thing of pure beauty.
Having been together for over forty years,

This whole thread is very heartwarming. I've come to think that compassion and kindness might be the most important traits we, as humans, have. Certain people on this forum - and they probably know who they are - exude so much of these traits, that it's just not possible to not be inspired.

At least that's the effect that TT has had on me personally.
