Solsaem Clinic (Dr. Minbo Shim) Experience

MIA. Last I heard from him he had an MRI done and it really spiked his tinnitus.

 

Let me just reiterate. I was not cured by this.

 

So I've been in contact with this clinic the past couple days and they do specialise in PRP injections which is derived from a blood extraction and separated using a device that I don't know the name of. They have had patients with tinnitus in the past and when I mentioned my situation they mentioned that a significant improvement is possible but a complete 'cure' can't be said. They do 1 injection per week since it takes about a week for the effects to kick in and usually do about 4-6 injections in total and yes they don't do anymore than that frequency. They charge about 15,000 rupees which is around 212 dollars an injection. This is significantly cheaper than the price Dr. Minbo is charging. I will be sending them a copy of my extended audiogram and a couple other tests and will try to visit them this coming December for 2 injections and in February for 2 more injections and maybe more if need be.

That dose schedule seems pretty inadequate to me. Look at the results described here based on a much beefier regimen, which also includes bone marrow, which is more dense in growth factors and has stem cells.

I called up the clinic who transferred me to another guy who gave me his number. He has a Whatsapp so the call was made through there.

 

True. That was one of the things I considered. PRP from the bone marrow is much better from a logical point of view.

I don't believe he does Skype calls but he certainly does do calls over Whatsapp for consultation purposes. Unfortunately I do not have Dr Tyagi's email however, Dr. Mamatarani Rout who works at the same clinic also does PRP injections and you can contact her at this email: dreamdr.mrout@gmail.com.

I thought of it very recently, not that I would go to this clinic, but I read that sportsman at high level were using drugs to heal themselves or simply have a better muscle building/fat burning, and it has to do with HGH.

There's a lot of drugs available, and even though it's not the same as stem cell therapy, I was thinking maybe for people wanting to go as far as going to this clinic, maybe HGH could be a try in between.

Just a quick thought, I didn't have time to look into it. I am just giving possible tracks to follow.

No improvements yet. In fact my tinnitus seems worse than ever!

 

Could be a good thing. With LLLT, I read and have experienced myself that usually tinnitus gets louder before it gets better because the healing excites the neurons... or cells... or something like that.

 

Same sounds louder? New sounds? Do you think the long flight spiked it?

Please elaborate on everything you experienced, including your procedures, other injections besides marrow and PRP like dexamethasone, etc.

 

Do you think the improvements you experienced are worth the time and money you spent? I ask because I’m considering this treatment myself.

If you read my statements I'm not totally sure that my improvements were even due to this treatment. Also, look at the testimonies from GlennAz and Tinnitard. I'm thinking this needs to be further tested before anyone else does it. If Tinnitard ends up getting an improvement then perhaps consider it. You're free however to make your own choices, as you know.

No one find is suspicious that the guy who original went, John, who didn’t show improvements is still defending him? He either doesn’t want to be seen as the idiot that blew 30k+ on this, doesn’t want to accept that he is an idiot, or is too stupid to even realize he is an idiot.

Out of all the things I have read on this website over the past couple of months this takes the cake. I never posted here, but this was so ridiculous I had to say something.

I’ll pray for all you dumbies who waste their money on this horse shit. Instead of wasting your money put it into research that will help, not into some con artists pockets.

 

No need to be rude. At least they are providing an honest assessment of how they feel. It's an experimental treatment--kind of like how all research is experimental. There is science behind what should/might/or what one would like to happen (cure the tinnitus, of course) regarding PRP/marrow/stem cells.

They are pioneers for at least trying a new treatment. And many thanks to them all for reporting back on this forum. I hope they do get a good result at some point in the near future.

And what research do you put your money into, @Tom Wilton?

Because for some of us tinnitus is distressing enough for us to pursue alternative treatments. At least we're not just sitting here doing nothing waiting to be spoon fed a cure and instead trying out new potential treatments and reporting whether they work or not. Besides I don't understand why you made an account just to talk smack. You sir are the most disrespectful and egoistic piece of **** I've ever encountered here.

 

Just because I am not going to flush $9K on a con artist doesn’t mean my tinnitus ain’t distressing. If a treatment doesn’t have any backing and is unheard of, it’s probably too good to be true. That’s why things like the FDA are in place. On top of that, a quick Google search will show you this guy isn’t as famous as someone should be for curing tinnitus / hearing loss.

Just because you have tinnitus doesn’t mean you lose your critical thinking too. That’s like saying, “my tinnitus is so bad that I’ll try anything, even snake oil!” Come on now! If you are going to piss $9k at least give it to researchers who are trying to help like Susan Shore or the guy at Georgetown University.

Also, pioneer is a little much don’t you think? Were the first people to give money to princes in Africa pioneers? You can’t be a pioneer if you know it’s not going to work. A lot of people pointed out things that were red flags, but some of you refused to listen.

This guy is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He is taking money from very vulnerable people and will have a special place in hell for him. At this point he knows his treatment doesn’t work because people report back no improvements yet he does it. He knows exactly what he is doing.

And this is my first time posting because I want to post something to deter people to not be so stupid and give this man money. I know the hive mind here will disagree, but at least I can try and help.
