Why You Shouldn't Be Afraid of Suicide Stories

Do you take medication for your tinnitus? SSRI and anti anxiety meds give you thoughts of suicide. Read the disclaimer.

    Hello Everyone

So far I don’t think there’s much reduction from the P but it’s only been a day. The anti-anxiety meds are helping, basically I can hear the T but don’t care. Hardly a sustainable situation but ok for the time being. It’s becoming very obvious it’s right ear only also. Hope you’re good J.

    Valium

@Larry OT @dan In the beginning of T onset, I got Valium infusions and my T was reduced a lot. I think it is the Valium that calms the brain nerves. I also took Obipramol for some days (a long-term anti-anxiety med) and my T was reduced. I also asked myself if it was lower anxiety or the med. I...

When the infection resolves, discontinue the anxiety med ( under doctor's instructions). Hope you feel better soon.

I'm Scared, I Don't Know Which Kind of Doctor to Turn to, I Have So Many Questions

I didn't take muscle relaxants last night but I did sleep with a store mouthguard and anti-anxiety meds. There was no real pain in my ear when I woke up. I think there is the feeling of light pressure in it. I think it comes when I focus on it with lots of worry too.

What Theories Support Stress Causing or Worsening Tinnitus / Hyperacusis?

@Sash thank you for your condolences. I am touched by how supportive everyone is on these forums. What the Heck Is Going On? (New Reactive Sounds Developing)

Getting Less and Less Sleep... Sleeping Pills?

Considering your lack of sleep is probably due to the anxiety about hyperacusis, or whatever you have, a low dose anti-depressant for anxiety might help. Also maybe something specific for sleep that isn't a straight up sleeping pill like trazodone or mirtazapine might help you sleep. Google...

Pulsatile Tinnitus: Any Suggestions for Doctors / Hospitals in Melbourne/Australia?

The short answer is no. You probably have some sort of mild physical abnormality that is causing it. If it isn't dangerous, don't worry about it.
