Isn't Ibuprofen ototoxic and can cause a tinnitus onset? I like Aspirin but I was looking for a more safe profile tinnitus wise and then I found about Nimesulide. About COVID-19, I wasn't infected afaik. Maybe I should check more about Ibuprofen.

I get tension related headaches from tinnitus. To get relief from the headaches, I take a half Excedrin. I used to take Ibuprofen for back pain but I think it contributed to my getting tinnitus.

Aspirin is way riskier than Ibuprofen IMO. But if you think Nimesulide is better, give it a go. Although you'll probably have a harder time getting it prescribed because doctors are reluctant to be told what to do lmao.

Wow. I also take generic Lamictal and have been for over 20 years due to a seizure I had. I was taking Ibuprofen also. I stopped the Ibuprofen. The doctor says to still take Lamictal.

Codeine doesn't affect my tinnitus. But neither does Ibuprofen or Aspirin which are drugs with very bad rep among tinnitus sufferers.

The severe cases are multifactorial but any NSAID (not just Ibuprofen) can make it worse than it would otherwise be. I would like to read a link suggesting they are *the* cause of severe cases unless I am reading what you wrote wrong.

I took a total of four Ibuprofen 200mg x 2 and then again. My headache was really bad though. My headache gradually got better. I think the ibuprofen helped but I wouldn't take it for chronic pain though. I doubt it would help anyway.

Oh you already delivered. Great! Congrats! Glad you got along with softer pain medication. I think ibuprofen is pretty safe, especially in lower doses. Paracetamol is apparently even safer. But I am pretty sure you'll be alright with the ibuprofen you took.

Yes. This was what I was doing. Taking Ibuprofen for my headaches and getting bowel issues and skin flares. You must study Histamine intolerance. My GPs haven't got a clue. Good luck.

Before tinnitus I used Ibuprofen rather often for headaches (with often I mean once or twice a month a dose of 400mg). Since tinnitus I use it maybe three times a year. I sometimes try Tylenol but that does not work as good for a headache as Ibuprofen. I never noticed any difference in my tinnitus.
